Look at that cluster of busts in 2005. Yowsers. The other 3 in the top 6 were Alex Smith, Braylon Edwards and Pacman Jones.

 

Aaron Rodgers went at #24.

 

Ronnie Brown is paying dividends now I feel like.

 

Not worth top 6 but still decent.

yep, this is what i was touching on in the trent richardson argument. if you look at the rushing leaders every season half of them are undrafted or late round picks. and even when a running back does work out these guys have a 6 year shelf life before they fall off seemingly overnight. combine this with the increased use of 3rd down backs and more and more passing plays and they are not even close to being worth a 1st round investment
