Any word on Phelps?

The slo-mo on that tackle did not look good at all.

LOL at tree - yeah, phelps is a swimmer.

From the slo-mo replay, it looked like he hyperextended his upper thigh. PFT this morning said his knee hurt, but the good news was that it wasn't the knee that put him on the IR for a year. Hopefully, a little rest will heal itself.

Just checked PFT and it says he has a sprained MCL

The Giants said they really missed having Kenny Phillips in the secondary on Sunday night.

They may have to get used to missing him. Coach Tom Coughlin said at his Monday press conference that
Phillps suffered a sprained MCL
. Coughlin called Phillips’ status week-to-week, which would put his status for Sunday’s home game against the Browns in serious doubt. Tackle David Diehl has missed the last two games with a sprained MCL of his own and the Giants can’t afford to rush Phillips now and then lose him for more time down the road.

It’s been a rough year for the Giants in terms of injuries to the secondary as all four starters and several backups have all been nicked up in addition to losing cornerback Terrell Thomas for the season before the preseason was in full swing. Stevie Brown filled in for the Giants on Sunday night and the team will be getting Tyler Sash back from suspension this week, good timing for a team that needs healthy bodies.

Coughlin also delivered some less than ideal news about wide receiver Hakeem Nicks. Nicks has missed the last two games thanks to a knee injury he picked up in Week Two. The team was still concerned about his recovery from a broken bone in his foot at that point, but their concern has shifted. Coughlin said, via Ralph Vacchiano of the
New York Daily News
, that Nicks’ knee isn't any better after missing the Eagles game, adding to the injury issues facing the 2-2 defending champs.

Yea, gotta cut someone though.

Plus Sash isn't much better then Brown.

Who do we cut?

I'd say either Scott or Petrus, hopefully Tryon

Move Ojomo to IR,

Scott is insurance, Bradshaw is a walking injury list, Brown has come up limping a few times, Wilson still cant seem to get it going in the offense.

Petrus is insurance as well, with Deihl out, he's honestly the only backup O-line player we have at the moment.

The Giants wont cut a defensive back with more injuries accruing by the week to the unit, keep Sash and Tyron for depth.

Maybe we release Tracy or Kuhn.

Richardson is a tough RB, but he doesn't have the change of direction ability of McCoy. He's good, he's tough, and he might have a pretty good game, but I don't think he's going to be the difference in this one.

I think Ojomo to IR is the most likely scenario to make room for Sash.

I agree, he definately doesn't have the cut speed. Just sayin that kid packs a punch and had our D not been on top of it we'd have lost that game to them.

If their new rookie RB runs on you guys the way Shady did, the clowns could be a problem. I think Coughlin will have them ready for that, but that kid brings the lumber.

I like Richardson a lot but Cleveland's game is a lot more one-dimensional than the Eagles. We won't have to account for Vick too. He'll get yards though (I'm still starting him in fantasy).

Truth. If their receivers could actually catch the passes thrown to them it may be different, but alas... They leave their rookie QB hung out to dry.

Why dont you give us an update on beating the Steelers, who you have not beaten since Moses came down off the mountain.

Let us worry about getting past the mighty Browns

One must take in to consideration your team is but 4 point total from being 0-4

I have feeling you would not be here if Tynes kick went 6 ft farther........and you wont be back sunday night when we stand tied with you 3-2........feel free to give us a tie breaker lecture ahead of time 5 games in to the season LOL

beating us by 2 points was actually an Eagles blowout victory......how long do you think you can dodge these bullets with your little Sanchezian QB?
