BlueInCanada
Well at least we have a log jam at CB this offseason. My money is on 3/4 of them being on IR by the end of game seven.

Agreed.....this is one reason why not resigning Aaron Ross may become a bigger loss than some people might otherwise think.

osi724dasack
Witherspoon Tryon Bolden Johnson Coe Those 5 guys are fighting for 1-2 spots Max behind T2, Webster, Prince and Hosely. Down to Johnson, Coe and Tryon now. My money says Tryon is the favorite.
Mr. P
at least it was guys fighting for the 4th or 5th cb spot.

I thought it was incredibly short-sighted back then and it will probably prove to be a mistake. He played damn well down the stretch, too.

Allstarjim
That's true. I really like Tryon, I like Johnson a little as well, Coe is trash. I love Tryon's effort, but I think Coe is better than both of those guys. Bruce Johnson I think is the Frank Ferrara of the DB's. Not near as athletically gifted, but gets by on desire. Coe I actually think has potential to be a pretty good nickel in the NFL.

Not sure what the cap math looked like, but this was a guy I'd be okay overpaying if push came to shove. Ross' biggest crime was he wasn't Revis. osi724dasack
Wow Jim, I actually couldn't disagree more. Coe has nothing IMO. Bruce has great quickness, good speed and acceleration. I watched him at the U, he's an athlete. Tryon same deal, he's played in big spots and made big plays. He's still young too, Coe hasn't done crap and he never will IMO. Yeah, I thought the contract they gave Thomas was a little pricey, personally. I hope he is back to form and 100%. And with Ross, he had all the physical tools and had good size and speed....his trouble was mental lapses and knowing where he should be in Fewell's scheme. Both of which I thought were coming together and he was finally showing that he was fully healthy and worthy of regaining the #2 spot behind Webster, IMO.
