Good draft websites?

Well, for some reason this year nfldraftcountdown.com doesn't have anything on it... they have a mock draft, but no player reviews or write-ups. We're what... a month past the combine? I'm not confident that we'll see anything there before the draft begins, really.

Since I've been going to that site for the past five years to find out about college players, can anyone suggest a new site?

There are hundreds. Here's a few (the tip of the iceberg)

For mocks:

For player evaluation and player profiles:

For small school player evalutations:

I know the Giants had some Interest in Cody Pearcy, Small School WR from Huntingdon, he ran a 4.31 40 apparently, he is only 161 pounds though. I have also heard we like Chris Givens WR from Wake. Even though we drafted a speedy "slot" WR last year, could we be going that way again? Maybe for Special teams purposes,we also Hixon back. Ty Hilton is a good WR/KR prospect.

If history means anything, expect the Giants to draft a small school prospect about a round earlier than loud mouth asshole Mel Kipper thinks that player should have gone. We do it every year (pretty much). And we've done very well with small school prospects (Simms, Osi, Shianco, etc). Ramsey Barden also came from a small division II school, but has yet to prove himself "because of injuries".

Regardless.....the Giants always seem to dip into the Div. II or 1A small schools' pool for a player that is a little obscure. When you consider that Jerry Rice, Brian Urlacher, Brian Westbrook, Howie Long, Joe Flacco, etc., came from Div II or Div IA small schools....it's obvious there's some serious talent hiding out on teams that are never on television or ever talked about in the main stream sports media.

Givens is an interesting prospect. Very productive against very good competition. Seven 100 yard plus receiving games last year. And not cheapies, either... had a 191 yard game, 170 yard game, 147, 140, 132... and eleven games with 6 or more catches. I like that, it shows he was a focal point of the offense, defenses had to know it, and they still couldn't stop him from impacting the game.

BTW, I love this site as it gives you an idea of around where a player is expected to be drafted... CBSSports: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings

Chris Givens is a projected 2nd rounder. I don't like him there. If he falls to the back end of the 3rd round, that's where I would like the Giants to grab him. But if you take stock in these things, then it looks like that's a near impossibility.

BTW, Cody Pearcy is not even on the radar of cbssports.com, even as a undrafted free agent, which they have many listed. Pretty amazing. Unless they have him listed under another position other than WR, they simply don't even know about him.
