boohyah
It looks like i was wrong to assume we'd be kepping him, but it's weird but the Texans let Winston go. He's only 28-29 years old and he's a solid RT.
gmenroc
There's an obvious hole there now without McKenzie....don't know if Brewer is able to step in yet or not. Don't know if Beatty comes back to left tackle and Diehl moves to right tackle. Despite our moves, we don't have an abundance of cap space so if this guy is a big name guy (I am not up on offensive linemen throughout the league), I doubt we make a serious play for him. As a fan, I'd like the assurance of a proven guy, but I also like when guys we draft pan out and become Giants for years to come. I think we'll draft OT too at some point to replenish depth. Bottom line though, a move in FA at OT depends heavily on the development of Brewer, which really, I have to believe only the coaches know anything about. The only reason I can think why he was let go is perhaps the money they shelled out for Foster and they may want to free up money to keep Williams. But I've heard good things about the guy, plus some experience on that side couldn't hurt.

gmenroc
Again, I'd like the assurances he'd provide, but I just don't know that it's the kind of move the Giants are going to make given Brewer/Beatty/Diehl/draft pick at the OT position.
Gman329
Guys, here's a little rule of thumb to keep in mind during this free agency season: if you've heard of the guy, we can't afford him! What limited resources (ie, cap space) we have will be used to retain our own players, especially TT & Goff.

Agreed that those two should come first and that there's little room for much else, unless we rework a few more contracts (Rolle, Canty)
Bigblue25
I am thinking he goes to the Dolphins.
