Eli... best Giants QB ever?

That is a great, GREAT question.

In my time, I loved Simms... and he led the Giants to (I think) an 11-2 record before he got hurt in 1990.

I wasn't around for the Tarkenton/Tittle years.

But in my lifetime, Eli is the best. I think he's going to the Hall of Fame. Amazing.

On pure mechanics/pocket presence, Eli is better than Simms. Toughness, it's surprisingly close.

If you look at Tittle's stats, and old film of him, he was an amazing player. But he never won us a championship.

I somehow never think of Tarkington as a Giant. In my mind, he's a Viking.

It really is Eli.

Yes saw Tarkenton...saw Simms...Eli is the best...but Eli's receivers are a higher caliber than what either one of them had.

Tarkenton did have Homer Jones, and I think Del Shofner--albeit an old Del Shofner.

Oh, hell, I'm not going to debate, I'm gonna enjoy! :freaked:

Yeah he was old at that time plus the Giants gave away the store for Tarkenton and they had no defense beyond Spider Lockhart.
