The Washington Redskins have quickly filled two of their remaining position coach vacancies, hiring former New York Giants receiver Ike Hilliard to be the team's wide receiver coach and moving former defensive backs coach Bob Slowik to linebackers coach, according to ESPN 980. Hilliard replaces the fired Keenan McCardell, while Slowik replaces Lou Spanos, who left to become UCLA's defensive coordinator.

Hilliard comes after being the assistant wide receivers coach for the Miami Dolphins last season, his first as a coach of any kind in the NFL. The 35-year old carved out a 12-year career, mostly for the Giants. Slowik has been with the Redskins since Mike Shanahan came aboard in 2009, but has been reassigned after the team hired former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris. Morris will take on the responsibilities of Slowik and fired safeties coach Steve Jackson.
