The interesting thing about the NO-SF game is that nobody is going to completely shut down Drew Brees and that Saints' offense. Outdoors, particularly if it's windy, that will very much help that SF defense. But the Saints are going to score points. The Saints have been beaten 3 times this year, all road games played outdoors. And two of those losses came against bad teams (Tampa Bay and St. Louis). The Saints averaged 25 points per game on the road in games played outdoors. Compare that to 40.2 points per game in 11 games (including their playoff victory) played in a dome. A 15 point difference, that is significant. Fortunately for the Saints, it's supposed to be a beautiful sunny day in the 60's in San Fran for their game on Saturday. In fact, no chance of rain really all week... so unless they water that field down, that's going to be a dry field and good weather. Alex Smith is going to have to make some big plays. Gore is not going to be able to do it on his own. That offense is going to have to put up a good 30 points to win, and Justin Smith and Patrick Willis need to lay some hits on Brees and those skill position players for the Saints. Let them know this is not going to be a finesse game, they aren't going to just run around and score a hundred points and look good on ESPN. They are going to have to play a physical game and survive the 49ers if they are going to win.

Anybody who thinks the Saints are going to go into San Francisco and blow them out... they are crazy.

Exactly. Bad weather would help the 49ers more but the Saints are not the same team outside as they are inside. Should be a good game.
