Time to give the guy credit where credit is due. He saved us a shitload of money by letting Steve Smith and Kevin Boss walk. He must've seen something in Ballard and Cruz to have the balls to say goodbye to smith and boss. Good for him. Still wish we had Cofield, but not at that price. I loved Cofield and said it from the beginning, our run defense would suffer. Now that Tuck is out, it's even worse.

I think the only reason we're missing Cofield as much is because Linval Joseph hasn't exactly burst onto the scene like we all hoped, and maybe even thought, he would.

I really like Reese, but he dodged a bullet with Ballard. He let Boss go thinking Beckum would amount to something, and he hasn't. Not that keeping Boss was the answer, either.

Boss was a ticking bomb. He and Smith were not in our, or anyone's, long term plans.
