Mr. P
Giants announce the signing of DE Justin Trattou to the practice squad after he cleared waivers yeterday. QB Ryan Perrilloux cut. Perrilloux could be re-signed next week but also keep former Central Mich QB Dan LeFevour in mind. He worked out for the team Wed. http://twitter.com/#!/MikeGarafolo
JackStroud
another reason to ditch Clueless Coughlin Additionally the Giants have no interest in developing a legitimate replacement for Eli..........this reminds me of the Eagles and Donovan McNabb..........he was untouchable When McNabb finally was traded he was exposed as a real mediocre/bad QB. Put Eli on the Seahawks, or KC and I think the same thing would happen

JackStroud
I think he's the Giants QB with the most upside potential- Perriloux Many good QBs have never gotten a real long term shot .......many many Only one is chosen for each team each year.........the rest sit and wait......only 30 or so guys allowed on the bus each year league wide We have had our share of starting QBs that made you want to vomit on Sundays and a few good ones- Tarkenton, Tittle, Connerly, Simms, only the last two home grown.........we have not been blessed with great QBs over the years I hope Eli rights himself.........I'm not so sure he'll ever live up to the hype......he may go down as an Earl Morral like figure who collected a few rings based upon a great Defense, a good running game and good but not great play himself Right now nobody in Canton is trying to figure out where to put the Eli Bronzing..........I can assure you of this If you do not see this your are delusional not the Dog

JackStroud
I'm good with Ryan.........would love to see him brought up to the team David Carr is the most shell shell shocked QB in NFL history
hlb37
I'm good with Ryan.........would love to see him brought up to the team David Carr is the most shell shell shocked QB in NFL history you can rest assured the kid is getting lots of coaching etc. As you said, he has a ton of upside but he is very raw. I actually like what the Giants have done over the last few years, solid journeyman back-up as #2 and a young raw talent on the practice squad. They missed with Lorenzon and Bomar but maybe they will hit with this kid.

The kid was super fast for a 300 lber...........quick release and fearless.........Can you imagine facing him on a naked bootleg if you are a lone defender???????? Cry for your momma......he did that to a NE LBer and nearly killed the guy. I'm sorry, put Carr in there and we are no better than a 500 team..........The kid should be on the big team, getting reps. What your saying about Perriloux is the same thing people were thinking about Cam Newton The Giants do not want REAL competition for Manning it seems
hlb37
you really thought Lorenzen got a real shot? yes I do. He was given 3 years to demonstrate that he could stay physically fit to play the game and kind of failed. The 300lbs was impressive but no way could he carry that weight and survive a 16 game season. We did carry him as a #2, in '07 I believe.

fishgutmartyr
Good. He can give more lessons to Eli. Scott Perrilloux comes on the team, Eli is called elite. It can't be a coincidence.
