Mr. P
Bucs G.M. Mark Dominik may have to admit another mistake. The team looks ready to cut the cord with wide receiver Michael Clayton, and running back Derrick Ward also could be on the way out. Ira Kaufman of the Tampa Tribune writes that Ward has "a lot of ground to make up and little time to do it" just to make the team. The man outplaying Ward? Kareem Huggins, who went undrafted out of Hofstra in 2009. Ward, like Clayton, was given a big contract by Dominik last offseason. Ward is due $3.25 million on the second year of his deal. That's expensive for a backup, must less the third best runner on the team. This seems to be a case of a player getting a second contract and not going as hard as he used to. Ward gained 409 rushing yards last year as Cadillac Williams' backup. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/08/16/derrick-ward-could-be-on-the-chopping-block/ damn, i wished him well but i did always say he would miss the giants o-line more than the giants would miss him. BlueInCanada
Derrick who? Oh the guy who left the Giant's for more money thinking he was better then he really was? Fuck him, we got Brown who by accounts is filling in the Ward spot nicely. The Giants made Ward, we don't need him.

Tempest
Wouldn't mind taking him back either. You can set an egg timer to how long DJ Ware is going to be healthy.

That is a very apt metaphor concerning our rather fragile RB.
