seems like besides mcclain alot of the linebackers we liked got drafted by 3-4 teams.

wonder if that tells us something.

the Raiders are a 3-4 team, thats where I thought McClain fit anyway in a 3-4, honestly Coughlin went to JPP's pro day and fell in love with Paul I am not sure even if McClain was there at 15 we still don't go with Paul

2010 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:

person

Chad Jones, S, LSU

Jones was called the best athlete on the team by many of his LSU Tiger teammates and it would be hard to argue such an assessment. The free safety was actually a two-sport star for the Tigers, excelling in both football and baseball. He pitched as a left-handed relief specialist as the Tigers overcame Texas to capture the 2009 College World Series title and he even turned down a contract offer from the Houston Astros. He and Jared Mitchell are the only two athletes in history to win a BCS National Championship and a College World Series. Jones has been blessed with natural athletic talent, standing at an imposing 6'3'' and 230 pounds. He can run under 4.5 in the 40-yard dash, has great hands, and--not surprisingly--was one of the hardest hitters in Baton Rouge.

Jones started to put all of those tools together on the football field as a junior in 2009. Playing on an LSU defense that has always been loaded, Jones did not start as a freshman (although he contributed significantly) and he started six games as a sophomore. Emerging as a potent defensive force in 2009, Jones finished fifth on the team with 74 total tackles and tied for fourth with 37 assists. He led the squad with three interceptions and he recorded both a blocked kick and a forced fumble. Jones also returned a punt for a 93-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of a 30-26 victory over Mississippi State.

Jones never put up star quality numbers in college, in part because he lacked a ton of experience and decided to enter the NFL Draft following his junior season. Had he decided to return for his senior campaign, Jones could have found himself in the first round of the 2011 draft. For now, however, there remain too many question marks and his 4.57 in the 40 at LSU's pro day was underwhelming. Still, it would not be a surprise to hear Jones' name called in the third round in April's draft.

at this point im hoping the giants are working on a trade for a linebacker.

Davis has to be dumb enough to take C.C., Johnson and (fill in the blank)_________. Linebacker for McClain

Fixed.

Fix that, dumbass, and please stay out of any further real football talk aside from your usual "DOOMED". You may also feel free to post 'fuck Al Davis', but that's it.

I was really hoping we ended up with Morrison. Fuck Al Davis.
