Mr. P
Steve Smith said he is in the process of switching agents to Tom Condon and Ben Dogra.Smith is set to earn just $550,000 in 2010 and is coming off a season in which he shattered the Giants' single-season reception mark and made the Pro Bowl. He undoubtedly deserves a raise and Condon will likely push the Giants for a long-term deal. Condon also represents Eli Manning, who the Giants broke the bank for last season. i think he def earned a raise, he should get paid like a no.1 but not like the best WR in the league. NightFire
This is probably going to be a crazy off season around the league. Teams can now cut players without a cap hit so it's possible that a few under performing players will get the boot making the extra money available for Smith. Smith deserves to get a raise. Yea I mean what man can possibly live off a $550,000 annual income nowadays. Jk, man... Steve Smith has proven to be a reliable solid receiver. A raise is warranted I just don't think it's on top of the Giants' to-do list right now.
hlb37
good news. when I first saw this headline I was terrified he would be working with Rosenhaus. That dude has f'd up more teams by talking clients into holdouts and such. I would be very surprised if Smith did not get a new deal before the end of 2010 training camp.
