If you had to let one go, who would you choose - Hughes or Joba?

This is a tough question because both have considerable upside. I think Hughes will become a stud starter and I think if Joba matures, he could actually become a stud closer (IMO - more likely than a starter). On the other hand, Joba has been able to stay healthier than Hughes early on in his career.

 

But truth is...I want to keep them both. However, the Yanks really want Halladay - in part, to keep him away from the Sox and maybe even the Angels. And Toronto insists on one or the other in a trade so I suspect it will probably happen.

 

So who would you rather keep/lose?

 

I am glad the choice isn't mine. If I had to, I think I'd prefer to keep Hughes, but I really don't want to lose Joba either.
