Virginia Giant Posted October 5, 2009 Share Posted October 5, 2009 i don't know if you follow college football but russell put up some great numbers and meorable performances. i'm not saying that means anything but it wasn't from the combines. although once al heard he can throw 60 yds from his knees he was pretty much sold. I hate to say it, but he came out too early, I understand why he did, but i said at the time he needed another year in school. Top that off with the hold out and he fucked himself from the start. He needs to get cut, land a back up role on a good team, like the Pats or Colts, where he could sit behind a great QB and learn for a few years. Coughlin’s patience seemed to be running thin last week after K Lawrence Tynes missed his second field goal from shorter than 30 yards this season. And he clearly wasn’t happy to see Tynes miss a 38-yarder in Kansas City yesterday. But is he frustrated enough to bring in some other kickers for tryouts this week?
