Hope he's alright and the cart was just a precautionary thing. EDIT: Fuck just read Pdoubs post, what the fuck is up with our strength staff or whatever? It seems like every camp we get more banged up then during the season.

Guest StrahansGap
From Rotoworld.com: Rookie RB Andre Brown was carted off the Giants practice field Friday evening with what appeared to be a serious left leg injury. It's not known if it's a knee or ankle injury. Brown came down awkwardly and rolled over several times in pain. Trainers and players surrounded Brown, and Brandon Jacobs was seen shaking his head. Stay tuned for details. Source: Jenny Vrentas on Twitter

Mr. P
NY Giants rookie running back Andre Brown ruptures Achilles' tendon, will undergo surgery by Jenny Vrentas/The Star-Ledger Friday August 14, 2009, 8:14 PM Chris Faytok/The Star-Ledger ALBANY, N.Y. -- Giants running back Andre Brown's rookie season is already over. The fourth-round pick, who was having an impressive training camp, suffered a ruptured left Achilles' tendon in practice on Friday evening. He will undergo surgery next week for what is a season-ending injury, according to the team's public-relations staff. Brown went up for a pass from David Carr with linebacker Gerris Wilkinson in coverage. He came down and immediately rolled over several times while writhing in pain. While trainers attended to Brown, starting running back Brandon Jacobs stood nearby with fullback Madison Hedgecock. Jacobs was shaking his head in frustration -- a clear sign the severity of Brown's injury was immediately apparent. The Giants believe the injury occurred as he planted to make his jump. "I don't know how it happened," coach Tom Coughlin said through a team spokesman. "Andre was running his route side by side with the linebacker." As Brown was carted off, he pulled his jersey over his face. He must have known it will be a while before he puts it on again. Brown was fourth on the depth chart at running back behind Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw and Danny Ware. They'll probably bring in another body at the position to replace Brown, though they could move Dwayne Wright, a running back who's been working at fullback, back to his natural position. Allstarjim
Source: The Star-Ledger Wow. Must be awful for Andre right now. I imagine the poor kid won't get much sleep tonight. The Giants faithful will not forget you next season, Andre! We had high hopes and we still have them... work hard in rehab, get back next year, and we know you'll do great. Sephiroth
That sucks. From all accounts, the kid was pretty impressive. I hope he recovers quickly... and that Danny Ware can get it done.
Tempest
Well if they bring someone in, its just to fill a practice squad spot. I'm still really looking forward to watching what Danny Ware can do with the ball this season.
