ppodlesny
The only reason I read the Mock Drafts is to see who we're not going to get. When was the last time the Giants got anyone who was on these mock drafts anyway... Ron Dayne :brooding:
Allstarjim
a lot of the mock drafts ive seen have us taking the lin backer from Ohio State, James Lauranitis. Id love to have him, but I dont think its too realistic. He is the best LB in the draft and will probably be gone ny the time we pick. Why do you think he's the best in the draft? I'm not so sure, plus, he's an inside linebacker so he will have much less immediate impact than an OLB. I'm hoping we pick someone like NE did last year, with the Jerod Mayo pick who came in and led the team in tackles as a rookie (128, 100 Solo). But Aaron Curry, OLB from Wake Forest, is projected to go very early, very likely in the top 5 overall, and is said to be able to do it all and is the complete package. Also, Rey Mauluga from USC is expected to go ahead of Laurinitis, and possibly Cushing as well. Don't get me wrong, I think Laurinitis is a great talent, but I also think Curry is head and shoulders the best LB in the draft.
