Lughead
"Googs" in Miami The Miami Dolphins are interviewing Giants assistant offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo for their offensive line coach position which opened up when Mike Maser was let go earlier in the week. "Googs" and Miami head coach Tony Sparano worked together at Boston University. The Dolphins asked for permission to talk to DeGuglielmo for a position which would be a promotion for him. BurnThePhilFans
"Assistant offensive line coach"? What the hell is that? I don't think I care about this one unless he is THE offensive line coach

Lughead
sparano's an o-line guy as well, i imagine he knows what he's doing here. hopefully it wont impact us too much January 15, 2009 The raid begins Success in the NFL usually leads to two things: 1. Other teams try to copy everything you do. And 2. Other teams try to steal your coaches. Last year the Giants remarkably were able to keep their Super Bowl-winning staff intact. But it doesn't appear that will happen this year. In fact, they've already lost one coach — assistant offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo, who has accepted a job as the new offensive line coach of the Miami Dolphins, according to two people familiar with the situation. The Dolphins are expected to officially announce his hire tomorrow. Meanwhile, don't forget, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is in Los Angeles today interviewing with the St. Louis Rams, and offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride is in Oakland interviewing with the Raiders. DeGuglielmo, by the way, has been with the Giants for all five years of Tom Coughlin's tenure. Aside from the chance for a promotion, the appeal of Miami was also that he has a history with their head coach, Tony Sparano. The two worked together at Boston University back in the early '90s.
