JMFP
I'm puttng that Eagles game in the rearview mirror. No need to talk about that flat effort. Here are my initial thoughts about next week: Eli plays well after a loss, and also plays well in Dallas, so he should have a good game. However, the Dallas defense has clearly improved since we last stomped them, and they will be playing just as desperately as the Eagles did. This could go either way.....we could be flat, and they could be amped, or the Giants could come out loose and relaxed with the division crown in hand, and the Cowboys could be tight and stressed. Lord knows the Cowboys fans will be quick to boo them if they fall behind.
BIGBLUE01
I no longer am too worried about this game. I still want to win, the higher playoff seating the better. But its not necessary, as we all found out last yr. Thats all we're fighting for at this point, a higher seating. And it cant get any lower than 4th, and wont get any lower than 3rd, because the north is so bad. The winner of that division will be 10-6 or 9-7 at best. The only team that has the possiblity of passing us is AZ, and I dont think that will happen. So, at worst we will probably be a #2 seed, but most likely the #1, so I'm not too worried. I think we take 2 outta the 3 and have HFA and a 1st rd bye. But the fact that we're in the playoffs is a bit comforting.

Gspotter
I also see us going 2 out of 3 in the upcoming weeks. my hope is that the loss won't be to Dallas. Never the less, I do worry about Dallas' D, it looks downright nasty. We really need our O to play smart and fast. Right now, I'm worried that we'll be single covered on all WR. Time for 4 wide formations, make that damn Moss earn one paycheck already and see if Manningham can do something to contribute as well.

Allstarjim
I'm concerned about our Gmen right now. I just don't want to be the Cowboys of 2007. We have a great team, no doubt. But injuries and fatigue does take its toll. Right now there are some players I feel are hurting but gutting it out. The D-line hasn't gotten pressure as well as it used to. The running game is not as explosive as it was earlier. And the o-line back slid a little yesterday. I'm not just talking about yesterday either, I've seen this over the past 3 weeks or so. This team is banged up and it shows on the football field. This is all taking place while other teams are hitting their stride and getting hot at the right time, like Tampa Bay and Carolina, and even though they lost yesterday... Dallas did play well, and a win against us next week and they will have a lot of momentum going into the playoffs. I hope next week I see a more explosive team
fishgutmartyr
I don't know, that Pittsburgh loss yesterday took a lot out of that team. We score early, and they might just give up the ghost.
UK-Giantsfan
Cowboys were rubbish yesterday ........so were the G men anything can happen in a tense , hard , nasty , disisional game in Texas Would love to see a Giants victory ....but in some regards ...it doesnt matter that much 1 win in the last 3 and we have a bye ( and probably home field too ) what really matters now is rest ...refocus ....and January

Nesta
I think the offense just needs a little retooling. We obviously weren't gameplanning for the extra pressure yesterday. We can count on Dallas and Carolina to follow the Eagles' example. We'll have to be content with some short quick passes and hold out for the deep ones later in the game. You're right. Before I looked up stats, I thought AZ had 9 wins and Minny had only 7. I didnt realize the Vikes were at 8-5. So that means we are almost guaranteed of either a 1 or 2 seed. I would be happy with either. At least one win out of the 3 remaining, and we're good.

ppodlesny
I think the Giants are going to come out hungry...Tom Coughlin is too good of a head coach and his attention to detail is far superior than most coaches in the league. I am sure that loss left a sick feeling int he stomachs of the players...it won't happen again.

This is a huge momentum swinger either way. We win, Cowboys are pretty much done, we lose, we give the Cowboys life and suddenly we are on a slide. We don't need to give the Panthers any more encouragement coming into the Meadowlands, knowing a win gives them homefield. And I know nobody wants to hear it, but the Cowboys in the playoffs will be a dangerous team for anybody. I want us to put them away this week, and finish it. Dont get me wrong boo, I want to win this one bad, but the 'not worried' part was about being in the playoffs. I dont want a 2 game losing streak or worse, give the boys life, but at least we're in, and the final two games are very winnable.
Gspotter
I didn't like that article on BBI about Tuck Being Tuckered. It was not what I want to hear about depreciating sack totals and a lack of rotation that has the DL tired. This is all very bad news. We need Ronaldo Wynn to start moving in more often too. I worry about Dallas and their D looked nasty last week. If we beat them, then they're done. I think we need to consider putting Droughns in too... he's a little big larger than the other boys and we need to pound on Dallas. I like War a lot, but he's not the same without B. Jake in the game ahead of time. I also hope we're compensating for what will (no doubt) be a heavy rush against Eli. I think someone wrote it very succinctly, "The Ealges may have authored a blueprint on the GIants" since nobody needs doubled. That is scary...very scary

That is scary...very scary I don't think I've seen Jerome McDougle since the first few games of the season. I guess he just sucks or something. Our defense may be the reason why we won't repeat. Our D-line is tired and they're getting shit pressure and our Linebackers are average and they don't make plays ever.

That is scary...very scary If that calls for converting 70% of your 3rd downs, then the Giants deserve to get beat. If a team needs to convert that high of a percentage to beat the Giants, what does that say about our team?
