BIGBLUE01
Matthews doesn't have hands. It was a riot when the ball was thrown to him last year. How many times was that? 2? This is what we have now, and we are now gonna see how he responds.
Tempest
Well it did when we had Shockey on the roster but that just isn't the kinda offense we want to run. I'm sure the two TE set would have opened things up on offense but I believe the strength of the team is now in its WR core for the first time in years with the development of Steve Smith last season. I'm curious what would have happened in Dallas had Parcells stayed on board a bit longer to see Fasano develop and being on the field with Whitten as a receiving threat. Is Matthews really a good blocker, or is he just more of a blocker than a catcher? I know he's better than Boss but was he anywhere near Shockey? I really don't know but I'm sure I saw him screw a few blocks up last season. Also, Boss/Matthews is not one player. Having both in means one less WR and really doesn't "open up" anything.
