BurnThePhilFans Posted March 27, 2008 Share Posted March 27, 2008 I know you prob. won't believe this because that clown always posts the fake Shockey sighting stuff, but I met jeremy shockey a few days ago on vacation in the Bahamas. It was around 2 or 3 o clock and I was leaving the Atlantis casino on paradise island (for those of you who don't know the Atlantis is a very upscale enormous hotel and several celebrities vacation there or around the area. I have met Michael Jordan, Spike Lee and Cidney Crawford (sp?) there in years past. Anyways, as I was leaving the casino I see a beast of a man with tattoo's on the forearms like Shockey has and I immediately knew it was him. He was about to walk through the secret entrance used for upscale guests to avoid crowds and I ran right up to him (he was with some smoking little blonde). Anyways, I was a little disappointed.... He didn't seem to nice at all. I shook hands with him and was going crazy, but the whole time he had his head turned the other way talking to the guys who were escorting him in and he didn't seem to put much effort into giving even a quick hello. I was kind of star struck and don't remember saying much except where's your ring at wheres your ring at (even though I knew they hadn't made them yet). He said in a kind of get the hell away tone... it's with my mom and proceeded to keep walking without a goodbye or anything. He didn't even seem amped they had won. The good news is though that he showed no signs of any limp and was walking fine (although he did seem like he partied the night before - He was walking into the place around 2 or 3pm like i said in only a swimsuit and a wife beater... even though he was kind of a dick I don't care as long as he produces... just thought it was cool and wanted to share. I shook his hand and got a picture taken with him. He seemed like a cool guy but I didn't want to bother him. He was with his family but his daughter was hot. I also saw Scotty Pippen there. He was a jerk. I yelled out to him but pretended not to hear me. I met Daniel Baldwin in St. John, New Brunswick at a bar after a hockey game. He was doing a film up there. He was really cool. He came and sat at our table and had a few drinks. I was the only one to recognize him also. I was also one of the only Americans there. He bought us a few rounds of drinks and left. This is just based on how I feel: - I never walk up to any celeb unless I know they're down to earth such as Michael Strahan. - I'm never star-struck by anyone (I don't know if it's my ego or me thinking they put on their pants the same way I do). - I'm aware that those celebs must get tons of people walking up to them which can get very very annoying. - I remember a few years back I saw Brian McKnight in Fox Woods Casions he was sitting in a restarant as though he was waiting for his meal. I told my friends and they seemed to be star-struck. They wanted to go up to him and say hello. I convinced him to leave the guy alone.. for that very reason. We were close enough where he heard our conversation and as proceeded to walk away I waved at him and he waved back with a smile that read "thank you". Hope life is treating you well. About Shockey and celebs you know they have the same ups and downs and moods as everyone else. So I think it might be a timing issue as to the response you get. Its similar to when I saw James Gandolfini walking through the Village as I was leaving NYU walking down West 4th St. I made eye contact and smiled he nodded back and smiled while continuing to walk and smoke his stogie. These two touristy chicks starting gushing and squeaking that's "TONY SOPRANO"....he ignored them and kept on walking. Guy was out for a stroll and if they had played it cool...they might have gotten an autograph or something. Another time I was in Midtown and Connie Chung was in front of my middle sister and I....all of a sudden my sister goes "Oh my God its Cheech and Chong" Connie turns around and I immediately stop and turn around I am so embarrassed.
