Awesome FB. Great instincts. Killer leadblocker.

Thank you STL, we owe you one!

Yup....talk about a prized gift dropping out of the sky right into our lap. Whew....we got lucky on that one. He's fun to watch. I'm also getting a kick out of watching Boss play. Between the two of them, it takes the sting out of losing Shockey. In fact, with the development of Boss, it makes me wonder if the front office is beginning to think Shockey is expendable. I hope not, but I know he's big bucks and seems to get hurt badly about half way through the season.....not to mention, no telling how much he loses because of his broken leg.

Green Bay is saying the same thing about us trading them Grant.

In all honesty it still worked for us. Jacobs, Bradshaw and Ward and who knows who else we pick up in the 7th round :P I find it funny that their 1st round pick is a bust while if we never traded them Grant they wouldnt be where they are today.

I'm not saying it hasn't worked out well for both teams 9though qwe're probly gonna lose Ward after this year), but same as we're sitting here wondering how the Rams let the Cock go, Packers fans are wondering how we parted with a gem like Grant.

Well he was on our practice squad in 05 and in 06 he missed the entire season with an off the field injury. I guess he slipped in a nightclub and tore something so the only time this kid was with us was in 05 when Tiki and BJac were tearing up the field. Add to that he was injured in all of 06 and you could see why we have never seen this kid for what he is.

So really letting him go was never that big of a deal and I still don't think it is, the Packers took a chance with a kid coming off a season ending injury and cashed out.

But yeah I can see what you mean, it's funny when you see guys like Jamarcus Russel being taken the first pick in the draft yet the kid in my mind anyways will never been the QB Oakland wants him to be. Then theres guys like Bradshaw taken in the 7th or not drafted at all who turn out to be gems.

We can't be too greedy. We have 3 very good running backs on the roster, and another who is serviceable (Droughns). I don't know if Ward has shown enough to be able to test the free agent waters because of his injuries. He will probably have the most value in staying with us. If the Giants can keep the trio of Jacobs, Ward, and Bradshaw intact, I think we have the best group of running backs in the NFL, with apologies to the Chargers (Tomlinson, Turner, Sproles).

Put down the crack pipe. Jacobs has a long way to go before being compared

to Tomlinson.

Ward and Bradshaw are redundant- let Ward fly- and having a "group" of running backs is like having a group of first basemen.

Depth is the key to every good team. If we didn't have Bradshaw to backup Ward this year, we would be using a Jacobs - Droughns tandem. No change of pace there. A good team has to have a "group" of running backs.

but only 2 really play and you can only carry 3. bradshaw stayed on his KO return ability.
