I would not worry about the skins

Snyder has been trying to buy a team for years. Buying a team does not always work..and has not worked for Snyder. He thinks that big names=big wins....Where I think that big names= big money(wich I'm sure that the owners love) and bigger dissapointments. Look at the NY Knicks. The have the biggest list of names in the NBA and the sorriest record.

The Skins are always SB champions in March, and also-rans in January. They have a track record of mediocrity since Snyder has owned the team, and I don't see that changing, even with this latest round of signings. It's great to have all of those WRs, but not so great having Brunell as the guy throwing to them.

Comparing football to basketball is like trying to find a common tie between a Porter House steak and a beef burger. The sport of basketball is a joke and will not be around in ten years.

Redskins are just as close to the SB as we are. I'm sure their fans are saying, "if we just get this guy, if we just get that guy; it'd be the difference" just like many Giants fans, including myself, are saying.

It's all about doing what you can and what you believe will make your team better. And the 'big names' didn't get those big names by just standing around and underperforming. Do I want to be like the Redskins, no I don't, but whatever they're doing may not be working completely, but it's not not working.

It was quite refreshing to see our agressive pursuit of FA's last year to fill crying needs. Particularly Aaron Pierce who responded last year and hopefully for years to come. And I'm not a proponent of throwing money all over just to sign a couple of "name" players. We should have identitfied the best way to fill a need this year through FA and then go after that player agressively. Answer all other needs through the draft. And make no mistake all the fix's are on defense. I hope EA hasn't gone back into his shell.

Aaron Pierce was a former Giants blocking TE. I'm sure you meant Antonio Pierce, dye. :TU:
