Lubeck
I have actually never caught this kid live...I never really watch regular season baseball and last night I was in a meeting till 10. So this is my first time watching him play. And damn was that some smooth play from such a young kid. Now I know why the papers say the Yanks got a HUGE playoff boost by getting Chamberlein in to get from the starter to the closer. He dominated. RandolphScott
Now the question begins? Do you switch Chamberlain to a starter next year with all of the success he has had in the pen this year?
Lubeck
That is going to be one hard decision to make. He has shown the ability to dominate in the 7th and 8th. He could be a game-winning reliever. He has two great pitches from what I have heard, his fastball and slider. His curve needs work. If he can get his curve down then I would see him as a starter. But if he has to rely on his two pitches, two pitches he does very well, then I would keep him as a reliever.

Lubeck
With each shot of his neck it got worse. And I am watching on a cable tap that has gone through 3 splitters already....I can see them flying around the plate. Has there ever been a gnat-out? DAMN CANADIANS! Lubeck
Seriously every shot is a ballplayer with hundreds of gnats flying around them. This is ridiculous. I don't watch much baseball has anyone ever seen a bug-spray timeout?

Lubeck
Now THAT would be funny. Training staff running out with a pack of Marlboros lighting one up for everyone. I wonder if PETA will protest after this game. Hundreds of gnats must be killed every time someone throws a ball.

feefifoefum
I wonder if Joba is going to play 3rd base next year? Maybe the Mets will go after A-Rod to play SS and we can get rid of that bum named Reyes.

I just don't like that these commentators are blaming Joba's bad inning on the gnats as if he was the only one dealing with them.
