njsmalls
The only reason we're not 32nd is because of our offense doing okay.
BIGBLUE01
Im sorry, but a defense thats given up 55 points in two games isnt the 3rd best team. Power rankings are always a joke. I fuckin hate Dallas. :brooding:

I fuckin hate Dallas. :brooding: You're right. Our pass def is ranked 32 and Dallas is 31. We've given up 34 more yards in the air and one more passing TD than Dallas. They're rush d is 11th while ours is 19th but statistically they're not much better than us there either. Offensively, we are good, but they're doing better. We can only hope that Romo cools off like last year.

Or at least the ones who determine them. I also find it funny that the "experts" say our D irun D was so bad in the Cowboy game because we gave up 4.7 yds a run. We stink because of that. But Dallas gave up 6.0 yds to us, and theyre the 3rd best team.

Perhaps the "experts" know that Phillips has a long track record with making the 3-4 work. Perhaps the "experts" know that the Cowboys have had about 7 starters with new responsibilities. Perhaps the "experts" realize that the Cowboys defense will only improve each week, and that they will certainly be better when Newman and Ellis return. Perhaps Bigblue is bitter because he realizes that the season is over before it began...

If the guy thinks the team is good then they always jump a few spots just for that. The Giants usually get disrespected so even if the stats were the same as Dallas (Giants 2-0 also) you know we would be a few spots below.

And if the "experts", base thier reasoning on guessing, theyre not "experts", theyre "idiots"

Perhaps the same who are overlooking the fact we have a new scheme, starters in new positions, starters still working through injuries, and starters who aren't in football shape because they want to play golf instead of attending training camp, and how most defenses each week improve when learning a new scheme, and that we will certainly be better when Strahan is in shape and Osi is healthy. But that's all bullshit anyway. It's speculation. The numbers are the truth, and the truth plainly shows that your defense is very bad, and certainly a disappointment for Phillips. 0-2 isn't over. when it's over I'll be in full agreement, but we're not there yet.
