He hit the ball for the sake of grounding out weakly rather then striking out. Against David Wells no less. If Alou ever comes back, I wouldn't mind him being in the 3 spot. He'll come back, have a nice month and a half, and be on the DL just in time for... yes, I'm going to say it... "meaningful games in September"..
