May 26-27, there will be 100 innings of baseball held in Quincy, MA to raise money for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Curt Schilling and his wife Shonda have both organized this event for the past 4 years and I think it's amazing. Gehrig, to have earned the nickname "Iron Horse" in his abbreviated 37 years of life, epitomizes the true definition of an athlete; Yet in the face of such adversity, he still managed to compete in 2130 straight games, have a lifetime batting average of .340 and cranked out 493 homeruns. What an athlete, what a human being. If all of us gave this much to our everyday life as this man gave to baseball alone, could you imagine what this world could be? Please watch this video.
