I feel the that if we can fix the secondary so they can cover like blankets and blitz more often instead of dropping the LBers in to pass protection we will have better games.

prehaps demps should hit the road . then again he would probley miss it anyway.

the secondary has been our week point for over a decade and yet we do nothing to vamp it up either with the right players or the right coaching.

Yep. Secondary has to be revampted... AGAIN.

But Tim Lewis has to take a lot of the blame. A LOT.

Madison made his reputation in the NFL as a press corner. Webster was a great press corner in college.

So why are neither one EVER in press coverage?

Why do we stop blitzing after the first quarter EVERY FUCKING GAME? Especially when it works?

Why do we go to the prevent defense and let them score at the end of each half?

Tim Lewis fucking sucks.

Never thought I would say it...but, Tim cannot make any tackles for these motherfuckers when they are in position to do so. He occasionally does call the correct defense but these players still fuck it up. Gibril should still be running with that ball that Dallas caught just before the go ahead touchdown. And the safety help has been non-existent. One reason why perhaps Lewis stops the blitzing is that he has to drop his LB's back into coverage because the two safeties back there are really sub par and make a lot of coverage mistakes; so the LB' s have to cover the RB's and TE's for longer than they would if they could cover. That long pass against Pierce by Whitten is a good example. Dallas ran that play 4 times and of the four times Pierce's safety help was either late in coming or was off on an island and out of position like the play I just mentioned. So a lot of it is the coaching; but a good deal of it is the sub par or over rated DB's that we bring in. We have to trade up to get an all world CB in the draft and a good free agent safety, no ifs ands or buts.

Tim Lewis had secondary issues when he was in Pittsburgh too.

Did he have generic players back in Steel Town or did he have some good ones. Because if it is the former then this guy was promoted beyond his level of competence. He should be an LB coach or a D-Line coach because he can not handle the defensive backfield.
