TaylorBanksCarsonVanPelt
What is your fucking problem? you have 352 post in 21 days, and every damn one have been negative.are you sure you are not from Dallas, Washington or maybe Philly. Nope...I was born, raised and live in New York... and have been a Giants fan since 69. And if my tone seems negative, I love my Giants so much that I hate to see them self-destruct. I guess I am not an optimist. Unfortunately I did not come across Sportwrath during their ballin run early this year. And the split is more fifty fifty in terms of negative/positive. Just hit the ignore button if it gets to you.
Hampton27 missed
Chances are, if Strahan arrived in at the same time and in the same way as Kiwi did, then yes, he would've. Because the last thing Kiwi saw before he lowered his head was Young's arm coming forward. The referee should have blown that play dead, since it's the competition committees fault. See, they have players making decisions they shouldn't have to make. He contacted him as he was "throwing" but feared a 15 yard flag. Now, he's going to plant the QB next time, and probably get a flag. So they can't have it both ways. The one thing Kiwi could've done better was to keep his eyes up. Regardless of whether Toomer was hurt, Burress would still be jogging, So that has nothing to do with anything. It's ont that receivers aren't getting open, your precious Eli can't find them because he's too busy staring down Shockey or Burress instead of going through a progression like most would expect a third year QB to do. Manning hasn't sucked lately, he's sucked for the majority of his short career. He's had more bad games than good games. You can point to receivers dropping balls, but that doesn't account for the poor decision he makes week in and week out. Audibling to pass plays when they have the lead? That's all on him. He's been playing horrible for well over half the season, but you keep on protecting him. You keep defending him. I'm done. He's had a large enough sample in my eyes to prove to me he wasn't worth what was given up. So in my eyes, that makes him garbage. My precious Eli? Climb down from the cloud. I have said numerous times that he sucks lately. I don't agree that he sucked all last year and if he did, then it gives me more hope with all the TD passes that he thrown. Just because I don't want to see him call it a career midway through his third season, doesn't mean I'm protecting him. I'm sick of hearing the bullshit about what we gave up for him. Go back and look at all the fucking draft picks that we had for the last ten years and tell me how many are still on this team. I could care less about a couple of draft picks especially since I had to wait a fucking decade for a QB to replace Phil Simms. Do what you gotta do and give up on Manning. Nobody is stopping you. UK-Giantsfan
Who here is going to admit the FAB4 were right about Eli? Lockhart ( alias the Fag4 ) was wrong about Eli ...... he will still be an excellent QB for the Giants The Fag4 have never been right about anything and never been positive about anything

I do believe he will turn out to be a good quarterback eventually...and he has shown stretches of good play with the occasional miracle throw. However he is in a slump that the kid glove treatment won't get him out of...he needs some negative reinforcement. Unfortunately for him he has a retread as a QB coach; an out of touch OC; and a head coach who is not the right fit for The Chosen One or for that sake any of the motivated Giants (e.g. Shockey, Tiki, Jacobs, most of the defense...but definitely not Flaxico). Coach Cheerleader still has a couple of days to pull a Fassel or Billick and take over the reins completely and lead this club onto a streak that will lead them into the playoffs. dyinghard
Bottom line, the guy is till playing like a rookie and making rookie mistakes 36 games into his career. How about throwing the last ball away? Stop making excues. Eli needs to start producing. Period.

Herc
eli has produced. he's just not a pro-bowler in his 2nd full year starting and is getting wildly inconsistent. i'll wait till he's this inconsistent under a REAL coach with a REAL offensive playbook/gameplan before i give up on him. this offense sucks ballzack and it's no surprise that defenses have figured it out. the kid's got no shot out there

I would prefer to see someone who thrives in the face of adversity. He needs to start getting in players faces some. Let them know who runs the show. the coaches do too. Coughlin is a real tough guy getting in Kiwi's face. Where was he when Burress quit on that route? He should have walked over to Burress while he was on the bench and whispered in his ear, "You just make yourself comfortable there, because you will never see the light of the field." I just wish that he would do a better job of leading. All of them need to do a better job of that. They need to STFU and play football.

Like you said I do not think he is comfortable yet giving orders to veteran guys. Too much of the Golden Child treatment can do that to you as well. I guess he is expecting others to police the huddle for him.

Tiki is out, so he really shouldn't care about offending Tiki. And Burress, forget about it.. He doesn't have a leg to stand on.

How about throwing the last ball away? Stop making excues. Eli needs to start producing. Period. What will help this team more than anything is good receivers that will go get the ball. I don't care who the qb is he needs help, lets take a typical pass play, after two running plays, and a ten yard penalty, a pass is called , plax runs a fly pattern ( he don't like to run slants and get hit ) and rarely can he out jump or out run a d back. Carter stands ten yards downfield and never moves, dosen't try to come back for the ball just fuck it. schockey goes two yards over the line of scrimmage and wants the ball when you need fifteen. what would you do throw it out? Chuck Wagon
. Looks like Eli didn't get the memo about never accepting responsibility or blaming yourself for mistakes and losses. Oh well, he'll learn. He and Vick must have been attended the 1st overall draft pick class on Coach Killing Mick. C. Wagon
Dre180
Explain to me whats wrong with his mechanics, and tell me what you would suggest to do to fix them? Plus, in all honesty what do mechanics have to do with anything? The guy's ya'll have been drooling over (Romo and Rivers) aren't exectly the picture of QB mechanical pefection either. ya know, it's one thing to have a complaint and talk about it, it's another to just throw shit out there like it's fact. Eli is just not a very accurate passer, thats it. He's an inaccurate passer ewho's losing confidence and thats all. His mechanics don't mean shit, Brett Favre doesn't have mechanics, he gets the ball to his recievers anyway he knows how, including underhand, lefthand, sidearm etc. Peyton's balls get to the recievers all but flying end over end, but they get there in the right spot. Add onto an inaccurate, inconfident QB a bunch of guys playing halfassed and a group of coaches who couldn't figure out a fucking 2 years old jigsaw puzzle and you end up where we are right now. Eli is going to be a fine QB, if you are or were expecting Peyton, just drop that, there is 1 Peyton and Eli ain't it. When we get a group of coaches that have a brain or two between the lot of them, get some players that finish routes and tackle people and can catch a ball or 2, then you'll see what Eli is about. He cannot be a leader on a team like we have, primadonna's, half hearted players who have other things on their minds. He cannot be accurate when he throws 40 times every game, WR's playing half hearted. no one seems to mention the guy is playing with WR's (aside from Plax) who have limited game time in the NFL. yes Carter has been around a while but he's always injured. jennings was in Europe. Toomer was Eli's comfort target. whoa, relax man. first off i am stating my opinion of eli after he has played his fifth shitty game in a row, and i have every right to. i've always defended him, and if i feel the need to rip on him a bit because his play has warranted that, so be it. mechanics have a lot to do with playing the quarterback position. now, i'm not saying one has to be prefect mechanically all the time to be a successful qb in this league, but you should put yourself in a position to make good throws more often than not. how do mechanics not have an affect on accuracy? are you kidding me? if you are watching eli, you should see that when you cannot step into your throws it is extremely hard to deliver a well thrown ball accurately. he throws of his back foot way too often, you and i both know it. there's no way e should be throwing at tiki's feet on a screen pass. secondly, he sucks throwing on the run. the only thing he can do is move in the pocket a little bit and step up. i'm not saying he has to be mcnabb here, but he should be able to be semi mobile and make semi decent throws on the run. thirdly, he throws way too many picks. eli refuses to throw the ball away instead trying all too often to squeeze the ball in between two and many times three defenders. that should never happen, he must learn how to make better reads. i don't hate eli, even though i may sound like that at the moment. i really don't. i want him to succeed more than anyone on this team, because of his importance to the giants, and what we gave up to get him. do i see many things i like in him as well? of course, but right now i think his negatives are hurting this team way more than his positive assets are helping us. lastly, i'm just saying any of the "elite" qb's as you may, would be lighting shit up if they were on the giants, with the immense talent at essentially every single position. that's why i'm most dissapointed in him. we made it as easy as possible for him to do well, surrounding him with the best talent possible, and he's still developing extremely slow. i wouldn't be as mad if this team was rebuilding and we didn't have guys like plaxico, shock, tiki etc. so just as you say i have no room to "throw shit out there" which i'm not, i am basing off things i see eli performing on the field every single week. i can easily say the same thing about you "claiming" that eli is going to be a fine qb. why am i wrong but you're so sure of that? i never ever expected eli to be peyton or anyone else in any way. i expected him to have his own style, one that would lead this team not hurt it. i hope he comes around, and i truly believe he will, however i am not sure if he will be an elite qb and you can't say i'm wrong for thinking that way.
