Yes Tiki did nothing with it... Bullshit. He did nothing with it when they brought him into the shotgun and had him run a draw five times. Not once did they go to the extra TE with Seubert. Tiki has been running behind that formation all season for 6 yards a carry. They did not even go to it once. Run behind McEn and Snee with Seubert coming on a pull and I guarantee Tiki will get the hard yardage.

 

Kick a little ass with the offense as opposed to pussyfooting it everydown

And as far as giving him the ball, he didn't do shit with it last night when he did get it. Again, not necessarily his fault when there's two guys in the backfield with him before he can go three steps. Everyone failed in this game, Shockey somewhat aside. Nobody fucking played.

It's not time to sit the kid, first when he comes to the sideline, you walk up to him and chew him out!!. You light a fire under the kids ass!!. Then if he doesn't respond you bench him. I've yet to see Eli leave the field and Coughlin get in his face, not once. It's like they treat him one way and everyone else differently. I've seen Coughlin chew guys out when they deserve it and bench guys so why not Eli?. Are they afraid Archie is going to call the FO and ream them out for being mean to the kid?. I'm mean, fucking Parcells pulled Simms aside and pre arranged his yelling matches with him so that the team could see that if he could yell at the QB, then nobody was exempt. Disclipline works in different ways and right now the most undisliplined player on the Giants could well be Eli.

That one interception he threw....there were 2 defenders not covering the receiver, they were RIGHT INFRONT OF HIM. No chance whatsoever to get that ball in, but he throws it. And the sad part is, that was a great throw IF no defender was in the way. The one good pass he throws all game goes right into the numbers of a defender. Thanks Eli!

 

We may not have an NFL-caliber backup, but Eli needs to sit a game, spend some time on the sideline assessing WHY he is there.

 

Unfortunetaly this coaching staff is one of the worst in the league and hasn't had a creative thought their entire time here. Like I said in the Shockey topic, they didn't even bother looking at the film on Shockey his first seasons here. They just put him on the line and said "go and do what you did with Fassel...oh but we aren't splitting you out wide anymore. Good luck getting open!"

 

The only good thing this coaching staff has done is fix Tiki's fumbling problem. Thats it.

And you know what was so funny about that play, was that he was trying to look off the DB's. But my and your idea of a lookoff (actually looking at decoy targets) and Opie Cookie Puss ( a millisecond glance away from Plax or Shock) are two different things.

All of these QB's are Pro-Browlers, Eli is not too far off them. Obviously Peyton is the class of the league right now. But look at each one of these.. Eli compares pretty well. Should Green Bay have benched Farvre after his second year?

I was sick watching that game last night. Extremely bad coaching job and as bad as we played we were only down by 7 or 10. Then we start moving the ball and Plex can't hold onto what would have been a great catch and then Carter catches one and puts the ball on the ground. I was one who was very unhappy with deal we got 2 years ago not because we got Eli becuase eventually he will be a great one. But more because we were fine with either Big Ben or Rivers and we don't lose all those players which is showing up now. Also Arrington may be a great player but will he ever play a full season again?

You make a great point and it is the first time I've heard it brought up. That could well undermine this team and it could be the reason why he is usually by himself on the sidelines. TC needed to get in his face on one of those INTs that he threw.

Yeah man there have been a number of us saying the same thing. Put a boot in his ass; let him know right then and there you fucked up really bad, but you are still my quarterback kind of speech would really work some wonders in my opinion. Instead of the you are the franchise quarterback Opie Cookie Puss The Great, and no one can say diddly to you. Bullshit. The only player that I have seen play football that never needed this kind of redirection was LT. As soon as he got to training camp he was a crazed maniac about winning and motivating the here to fore loser Giants. Hell after they lost to Frisco during their second playoff game in 81', Taylor was observed to be so pissed off you could have baked a cake on his head. But the other Giants were just happy to have been in the playoffs after 18 years of nothing. But he did it without fingerpointing. He just said something to the effect of "I hate fucking losing; fuck this shit". That is also what is needed for all of the Giants.
