Jan 5 - The Mets are considering making a pitch for Jeff Weaver, The New York Post reports. Weaver is believed to be looking for a four-year deal worth $40 million. But the Mets are leery of giving anyone more than a one- or two- year deal. Pelfrey or Vargas kicks the shit out of Weaver, hell I'd even take Humber or Soler over Weaver.
