  1. I'll stick with my 6-10 prediction from last year. I believe I've predicted correctly 2 years in a row now, so you all should make your bets in Vegas. You're all welcome for future winnings. If absolutely everything breaks right this year, 8-8 is doable... and I think that could get you in the playoffs this year. The conference, and NFL in general, is average. Unfortunately, our talent is way below average. The offence could be decent if the OL ever comes together, but you'll mostly see tons of 3 and outs this year. I don't expect much from Cruz and think ODB will take a step back. That's not to say ODB won't be a great player, I just don't see him dominating like last year. Special teams I have no idea. The biggest weak link, of course, is the defence. It's an absolute train wreck and Spags has nothing to work with. We have Hankins, Kennard, and that's it. Everything else is crap or a question mark. I don't like DRC at all. Terrible contract there. Prince can't stay healthy. Really hoping Collins and Odi show some signs of being keepers. There simply isn't enough talent though. I love our coaching staff, and I feel really bad for TC. Reese has completely hung him out to dry with his god awful drafting. It absolutely blows my mind that the franchise tender to JPP was not rescinded. We need that damn cap space for next season and could vastly improve this team next offseason. JPP is a dumb, overrated fool and has no place on this team. This kind of blind loyalty to an idiot makes me shake my head. Reese has got to go if we finish 6-10 again or worse. Worst Giants GM in my lifetime by far. Let's go Rangers!
  2. We have no shot this year, so what's the point. Carry the cap space over to next season when it can be put to better use.
  3. Yup. They could have, and should have, withdrawn the franchise tag and let the grand pooba of stupid try getting a job somewhere else.
  4. On the field I doubt there would be any issues. What concerns me is weight training. Would that be impacted?
  5. We have our 2015 Darwin Award winner...
  6. Agreed. If he really wants to attempt a come back, you give him a $2-3 mil 1 year deal and let him prove he can play... Which I doubt because he couldn't even up his game in a contract year last season. If the front office rescinds the franchise offer, I wonder if there is a trade out there to be made... We'd have more than enough cap space for a variety of deals.
  7. Look at the breakdown of Suh's deal. it's essentially a 3 year contract and he can be cut in year 4. Without jpp the Giants could have afforded him easily. Suh is a legit stud. He would have made our interior dl absolutely sick and helped out the ends by getting double and triple teamed.... which would also have a cascade effect on the rest if the D. Jpp is a one trick pony who hasn't done jack in years
  8. I really wish we would have let JPP walk in free agency, and then made a legit run at Suh. Looking at Suh's contract, the Giants easily could have offered him a comparable, if not better, deal. He could have made more money in the first 3 years of the deal easily if he signed with the Giants. Reese has made some terrible decisions.....
  9. LMAO! Hopefully the overrated dumbass is done. Good riddance.
  10. Agreed. We have question marks everywhere and everything needs to fall into place for the Giants to have a good season. The one bright spot in all of this is most teams, outside of a select few, have the same issues. A wildcard spot is there for the taking if injuries don't cripple us. I'm sure Mr Palmieri will see that doesn't happen though
  11. He was our best OL last year imo. This could be a devastating injury. We already had no depth whatsoever along the line and this makes matters worse. If Pugh and Richburg take a quantum leap, Schwartz plays above his contract, and Flowers is good from day 1, we might be ok. I had hopes this team could take a couple steps forward this year and go 8-8 or maybe even 9-7, but this will make things difficult. They simply cannot have many more injuries or we'll be getting a top 10 pick again
  12. Spags had neither in 2008 and our D was sick that year. Spags doesn't try to pound a square piece into a round hole. He uses what he has to its greatest potential. Back in 2007 look at what he had to work with in the secondary. The guy is s great D coordinator. I have no idea why anyone would not want him back.
  13. Look at the bright side... If Fewell and Quinn come back we will once again have a top ten pick. We should be able to solidify the OL and DL over the next 2 drafts and then be in good shape when Belichick takes over in 2016
  14. Thing is, the teams that won the SBs were largely put together by Ernie Accorsi, as much as I hate to admit it. Reese did add a couple key pieces but the guts of those teams were Uncle Ernie.
  15. Agreed. Reese needs to completely change his draft philosophy if he is gonna stay around. IMO, you spend your first and second rounders on the dl, ol, and cbs. You can get quality rbs and wrs in the later rounds. As far as fa signings, it's not too often shit turns to gold. There was a reason the ol we signed this year were on the market. They simply we not that good. Eh, whatever. Hockey starts in less than two weeks
  16. I've had it with Reese. Drives me nuts that he takes a wr in the first round when our ol is in complete shambles. What good does a wr do if Eli has no time at all to pass? This is the worst giants team I've seen in a decade. There are maybe 6-10 players I'd keep and the rest can go
  17. same thing here. Living in Philly, I haven't seen any preseason games so i have to rely on what I'm reading on web sites and what I hear on WFAN. And the debacles of the last few years, especially last year, have me feeling meh and feh. The bad... I think JPP will shit the bed, the OL still needs some rebuilding with youth, the DL as a whole I'm not confident in, our WR core (while there is potential) is average at best, Beason hasn't proven he can stay healthy, and I think our safeties suck. The good... If Beason stays helathy, i like our LBs. The RBs have potential. Eli is still good if he gets protection... and that's a big if. We do have some young pieces on the OL. Damontre should be fun to watch. Our CBs are excellent, but we must re-sign Prince now or our secondary will completely fall apart next year. this team is smack dab in the middle of a rebuild so i don't expect much till maybe next year at the earliest
  18. 6-10 NY Rangers camp opens in less than 3 weeks!
  19. LMAO! I had no idea they even lost last night. This gets a double thumbs up
  20. and Webster has a hammy. jesus h christ....... if the O doesn't put up 35+ a game, we won't win another game this season. I've been relatively calm and confident this year, but this is getting ludicrous. maybe the players need mandatory daily yoga or tai chi. The DOOMED!!! feeling I had at the beginning of last year is starting to come back in full force. if we lose to the Browns.... ugh....
  21. For all the good stats he has, he also has some bads stats... namely fumbles. with the exception of the TC years, he lost us just as many games as he helped us win due to his inability to hold on to the ball. That is why he needed a few more years of TC era stats. close, but no cigar imo.
  22. this is the best damn crow I've ever eaten..... tastes like chicken... or eagle. To further repent for doubting my Giants (and, by extension, senor Stroud), tonight I shall go out on the streets of Philly, hit up a bar, and be a complete obnoxius asshole to any and all Iggles fans.
