  1. He just did, yesterday! On one that he should've caught for an interception!
  2. The have the most hurries of any pair of DL in the NFL.
  3. CD, you seriously want to bring up a guy who is on pace to get sacked 60 times this year but has nearly 1500 yards and 10 TDs vs only 3 INTs? While completing about 64% of his passes? CD, the differrlence between Eli and Luck is that Luck is performing in spite of his OL not doing their job, and his defense sucks so bad they aren't stopping anyone. Luck is actually the bright spot on that team.
  4. I think all this talk about the pressure is overblown. And it's not about the OL exclusively. Remember the sack that Paul Perkins allowed by not picking up the blitz? Eli ran the ball once in these no pressure situations last Sunday. Sacked 4 times. So 22-40 pass plays he felt no pressure. On Blitzes, that means he should be able to find a favorable matchup. Eli has had a history of performing very well when blitzed and when given time. If he's not doing that well right now, and we know he's not, then he isn't doing his job. The OL isn't at fault for that. It's the NFL, you are going to need to get the ball out under duress. I'm not sure why he gets a pass for being terrible if all conditions aren't perfect all the time. No other QB gets the bar lowered like this when evaluating their play, and the great ones never need to.
  5. Don't get cute then. Your roster is fine. I would actually have Hunter Henry starting over Julius Thomas. Try to trade a Thomas for a Zach Miller or Kyle Rudolph. Somebody who is attracted to the bigger name in Thomas may bite. But your RB position is actually pretty thin. That's the position I would worry about bolstering. See if Dixon is available. I would drop Duke Johnson or DeAndre Washington for him. Devontae Booker with the Broncos. You want high upside stash's. Derrick Henry if he is available, which he probably isn't.
  6. I think you wouldn't get Russell Wilson in a trade for Coleman. I think if you were going receiver, you could get a decent one or a very good TE if it was a RB needy team. Are you in PPR or standard? And who are your other RB's, WR's, and TE's? Guys I wouldn't mind trading Coleman for are: TEs: Greg Olsen (if the Olsen owner has a strong back up and is RB needy, there is potential here, but it would be a tough one to pull off) or Gronk. You may have to deal Freeman for those guys. WRs: AJ Green, Amari Cooper, OBJ, or DeAndre Hopkins (may get a disgruntled owner to bite, particularly on the latter two). However, it's unlikely these owners would deal their WR 1's very easily. Cooks is another guy that may have an owner ready to give up on him. I would buy low on Cooks. However, dealing from RB strength isn't always advisable. This year, the teams that have Elliott and Murray are probably at the top of your division, and for good reason. It's difficult to get top scoring from the RB position this year. Consistently high scoring RB's are the scarcest resource in fantasy. WRs and TEs are much easier to find. Rudolph, Miller, Hunter Henry, Dwayne Allen, and Brate, maybe even Marty B... were likely free agent/waiver adds this season and are in the top 10 scoring tight ends thus far. Jimmy Graham is coming on strong and was available in a lot of leagues, too. Look at receiver - Tyrell Williams is still available in a lot of leagues and he's scored at least 6.9 points in 4 of 5 games, and double digits twice. It's hard to get the top ones, but fairly easy to get decent options... and some owners may have dropped guys like Moncrief and Corey Coleman, who should be coming back very soon to their teams. Add now. Cole Beasley is available in 58% of yahoo leagues, and over 75% of NFL.com leagues, despite being remarkably consistent. They aren't huge numbers but they are consistently decent. I just added Sammie Coates in 3 out of 4 of my leagues right before his breakout game (it was a good weekend in fantasy for me). I also added him off of waivers in the fourth league, dropping Decker hours before the news broke he was placed on IR. But hard to give specific advice without knowing your league scoring format and your roster.
  7. And they call that pocket awareness. Or lack thereof. Or feeling phantom pressure. None of which are good. Stand in there and deliver... you got a rookie in Dallas and all the say about him is, "look at his poise." Our 13 year veteran should do better in this area, a lot better.
  8. PFF charted Eli's plays. There were 21 drop backs where he faced NO PRESSURE. On those plays, he was 12-21. That's bad.
  9. You know, throw a 10 yard pass there. Try to get it to 3rd and manageable. At least my fantasy teams are performing well.
  10. What I really hate is the run on 2nd and 15-20. It's over and over again, and results in 3rd and long just about every single time. And we aren't converting on 3rd and long... like at all.
  11. LOL is it just me or does anyone else think that guy is right on the edge of having a massive coronary in these videos?
  12. The O-line is being scapegoated. Eli has been awful. The O-line cost the Giants a couple of times, but aren't completely to blame for the past 3 losses. They were very, very good against Minnesota, for example.
  13. The defense has kept the Giants in every game except for Minnesota. In fact, the defense won the Saints game without much help from the offense. I don't know why Spags is taking heat. They aren't the '85 Bears but they've been doing their job often in difficult circumstances because the offense can't stay on the field and give them a break, and constantly is putting them in bad positions. Lack of pass rush... it was a problem in this game and Minnesota, but there was pass rush in previous games. The sack statistic doesn't tell the whole story. Moreover, Spags is the coach. You pay Vernon $54 million to win one-on-one battles. He didn't win them last night. Same goes for the other guys. They weren't winning the one on ones. The short-comings are on the players, but overall the defense did great. 23 points to the Packers at home is good enough to win with a competent offense. A competent offense also would've limited the Packers opportunities to score 23 points. The secondary especially was very good last night. The Giants are 2-3 because the offense is terrible, and for no other reason.
  14. Yes. I don't think McAdon't keeps his job if they go 6-10 or worse. And he likely will lose it at 7-9. He better right the ship in a meaningful way.
  15. You either hope they get a lot better in execution and QB play, or, and not just because of this past game, but how they've played all season, you have to start to lower your expectations.
  16. Fastball up, middle middle, that was the jinx.
  17. And Reed really got squeezed on some tough pitches. Will suck if Buster is able to deliver here after what could've easily been an inning ender.
  18. Have to say fringe, MadBum has really delivered tonight, as did Thor. What a game. I love games like this... and hate them at the same time.
  19. Who has been terrible on this O-line? I think they've been doing well, and played well last night and gave Eli plenty of time on several occasions. Sometimes, Eli was feeling phantom pressure when the pocket was still well-maintained, and he threw the ball away. Eli has to play better. He has not been good this entire season. He played ok maybe in the Dallas game, and I'm only saying that bc I don't really remember. Other than that, he is the biggest reason this team has struggled. They are actually doing well on defense. But not getting an Offensive TD against the worst Defense in the NFL... Squandering the game away against the Skins, and whatever that was last night... He has regressed thus far this season. Right now, Eli Manning is not a good QB.
  20. Yeah I said it. Sorry, this is not the same QB that played that playoff game in San Francisco in 2011.
  21. Eli giving away way too many downs. Playing like a little bitch.
  22. What's with all this doom and gloom? Eli is going to be around for awhile. And it's entirely possible we draft someone even BETTER before he hangs 'em up.
