  1. Looks totally catchable if he wasn't held. Especially for McLaurin. This looks like textbook taunting to me. Walked right into a crowd or Redskins. Refs will call that every time even if he says he only meant it for the running back. Refs won't give you the benefit of the doubt if you're in a crowd of the opposing team when you do that.
  2. I really like him (as far as his story and personality) but he's pretty limited in what he can do and makes a lot of mistakes. He's got a ton of energy though and I'm sure almost every team would be happy to have him as a second string quarterback. And why in the world was this obvious pass interference call picked up? Flat out pushes him off his route.
  3. Nice win and happy my Football Team knocked off the Steelers. Looks like there may be some life in the NFC East yet. You guys beat us twice though and look to have a bit of an easier schedule down the stretch.
  4. What? That he was drinking too?
  5. So I watched you guys last night. Actually rooted for the Giants since it would help the Redskins (not that the Redskins are good anyways) but no team in the NFC East looks good. Defense looked like shit Offensive line looked like shit Eli (what the hell happened to Eli??) Beckem. Don't know if it was because Eli didn't have time or that the Eagles doubled him all night. Great receiver but for that kind of money you want a solid, stand up guy kind of receiver and not a head case. But I'd be watching the games just to see that fucking running back. Holy crap. Exciting as hell to watch. Haven't seen those kind of moves since Barry Sanders
  6. Pretty rough but at least you weren't watching the Spanish broadcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_rOXwlZlKY
  7. Suspending for missing a scheduled drug exam. He was suspended several years ago for weed but this time it was for missing the exam so it's treated the same as if he tested positive.
  8. It's actually 36 million locked in. If they pick up the option it becomes 50 million. Still a lot of money but the Redskins definitely haven't been free wheeling spenders since McGloughan entered the picture.
  9. For some receivers that would be pretty much every ball.
  10. Rookie NFL refs make $75,000 a year. Senior ones make just under $200,000. They get paid plenty. Really they should make less calls other than calls related to player safety. They should be instructed to be on the side of "no call" unless it's obvious. Just call the blatant stuff and let people play. I get the safety issue things so be tougher on those but all of the very minor holding shit should be ignored. All this push to increase scoring just ends up cheapening the game. Throw it long, good chance you'll get a pass interference call. That's bullshit football
  11. That's right, the Bills. What a horribly officiated game against both teams. Running off the clock at the end when the receiver made it out of bounds was ridiculous and their excuse was even worse. "He gave himself up". Bullshit, he got himself out of bounds.
  12. True, I haven't heard many Giants players blaming losses on injuries although I don't follow Giants interviews that much.
  13. I wasn't talking about Pats fans I meant the team. They don't seem to get hung up on the injuries and penalties. I was really surprised in the game against (you guys I believe) where the ref called the play dead and Brady was a good yard or two from the sideline. The pass looks like it could have gone for a touchdown. The ref told Belicheck they screwed up and he just nodded and went on. Could you imagine what Rex Ryan would do in that situation? Most coaches for that matter
  14. That's true. It's a lot harder for them but you don't really see them blame losses on people getting injured. Or even bad calls. It seems to be a trait of the routinely successful teams. The way they handle adversity and don't blame the adversity. Instead just realize that's the hand you're dealt and you have to deal with.
  15. A lot of teams have a bunch of injuries and I'd argue the "who" is huge. You've had you're starting quarterback all year so that's worth a lot. Patriots have a ton of injuries but they seem to be doing pretty well.
  16. I agree. That should be The Giants plan. Plus get some scores early to get us away from our run heavy offense. Gruden has a tendency to give up on it too early when teams go up by a touchdown or two. Looking forward to seeing how we do in the run game against your defensive front. If we do hold a lead by pounding the ball I'll feel pretty comfortable going into the fourth quarter because your defense will be worn down. Morris and Jones are both power runners and both of them are in the top 10 for rushing yards (albeit after only 2 measly games). The line is also bigger than last year. Callahan who built Dallas's offensive line has done a great job in a short amount of time. If you can get Cousins into 3rd and long he will make stupid decisions. He looks a bit better in that area but still suspect. Last week he made a really bad decision on 3rd in long deep in our territory that should have been intercepted. Redskins have a lot of new players so communication isn't great yet. Curious to see how they fair in their first away game.
  17. Redskins fan here. The new GM (never had a GM since Snyder has owned the team until now) has clearly put an actual plan in place. Believes the NFL is a big mans game so he started bringing in big guys, especially on the lines. Only two weeks in but the Redskins have the highest ranked defense and most rushing yards in the NFL. I'm sure it won't last and we need more depth but the GM has a definite philosophy and it matches up with Gruden's philosophy so the team could get better quick. I really like the thunder and thunder combo of Alfred Morris and Matt Jones. Should be a good game because your defense has done well against the run. Yesterday Redskins used a ton of 3 tight end sets, coupled with the beefy offensive line and power running backs and it wore down St. Louis. For some reason early in the 3rd quarter Gruden went away from it. Got back to it in the 4th and we were able to go on a 9 minute touchdown down drive to finish the game. Reminded me of the old hogs. We'll try and do the same against you guys. Not having Desean Jackson hurts. If you guys are smart you'll try and pick on our DB's which are suspect. Score some quick touchdowns and force us out of a pound the ball game. A lot of new players so communication isn't great and being an away game won't help. Redskins are still a work in progress but at this point I'd say the NFC East is up for grabs. Hard to make any big predictions after only two games.
  18. Does anyone believe the Giants when they say "Hey Pierre we just miss you and care for you"? If they see that hand and it looks like shit they'll drop the franchise tag tender in a heart beat.
  19. How the hell did ESPN get a copy of the medical report? Unless JPP gave it to them this is going to get stinky and you can bet someone's ass is getting sued.
  20. Doesn't sound as bad as what happened to this guy. Man blows himself up lighting fireworks off of his head.
  21. exactly. They got fines. Atlanta actually lost a 5th round pick as well I believe. And many of those penalties were for things that had been warned about. I think pumping in crowd noise would be a much bigger advantage than "maybe" having a ball a bit under inflated. In the Patriots case they weren't even able to definitively prove "anything" but they get fined a million dollars, lose a first and fifth round draft pick plus suspend Brady for 4 games. Totally disproportionate compared to how other teams have been penalized and in the case of the Patriots team the report actually cleared the coaches and owner so why the fine and lost draft picks? Seems like the penalty should have just been for Brady (who they weren't able to definitively prove anything). I think this just goes to show what a horrible commissioner Goodell is. Commissioner's get a ton of power and he's shown himself to be totally inconsistent
