  1. Thanks, man, I suck at math. Probably why the IRS loves me.
  2. Yeah, but wasn't that massive production amassed in only 4 starts? LINK (Money's link from a prior post) What could he do in a full season?
  3. Yes, thank you for the informative post.
  4. He led the league in drops with 16. He caught 55. 55+16=(wait, I have to open the calculator) 71. So, Rik, he was thrown to 71 times, and out of those 71 times, he caught 55 of them for 873 yards, 3 of which were for TD's. Happy now?
  5. I'm sure if I can sit here and discuss this on a message board, Giants management is already light years ahead of anything I have to say about the subject. I was merely tossing out some thoughts that occured to me during reading this thread. I agree that if they get Edwards Plax is out, it would only make sense.
  6. Reading that article, yeah, it looks like a pretty safe contract, IF they are going to part ways with Burress. If they get Edwards AND keep Burress (assuming he hits all, or even most, of the goals set for the non guaranteed money) wouldn't that be a pretty bad thing? I mean, Edwards won't come cheap, and won't we have to pick up what's left on his current contract if he's traded? I'm no rocket scientist, but having both, financially anyway, doesn't look all that appealing.
  7. Also, didn't Plax just get a brand new deal at the beginning oft he '08 season? How does that affect things? If Plax gets convicted they get to write that off, don't they? And if he gets off, and he gets suspended by the NFL, then what? Does he still count salary wise? And if he gets off, and doesn't get suspended and is able to play, AND we got Edwards, then how screwed would we be?
  8. I was referring to this suggested trade in particular. And I realize he has little trade value, but still, wouldn't you offer up your worst first and then deal up to what you were actually willing to give up? Anyway, there was a post made by mws44 earlier with a link to the bleacher report that pondered why Moss hadn't been offered up. Unfortunately, The Bleacher report took the link down.
  9. I understand what you are saying (I had Edwards on my FF team last year and continued to start him, while he continued to stink it up), and think what the Giants offered was fair. Although I find it curious Moss remains intact like, I don't know, he's got something on someone in the front office. Seriously, why wasn't his name at least thrown out there at least for bait? I'd still like to know what Edwards attempted catches to actual catches ratio was though. I think with Eli throwing to him, he could have a very productive '09.
  10. Ok, I'm about to show my ignorance once again. His stats show 55 rec - 873 yds - 15.9 avg - 3 td's for the 2008 season. You say 'a gallon of stickum' should be added to the deal. My question is, how many attempted catches did he have? I mean, if he was thrown to 55 times and caught 55, that's pretty amazing, so why would he need stickum? If he was thrown at 200 times and caught 55, I could see your reasoning. I didn't see anything in that link that shows how many times he was thrown to.
  11. I agree. You were also the only one I remember sporting Tuck as your avatar and something like "Don't fuck with the Tuck" (or something similar) in your sig. You're one progressive thinker King. :worshippy:
  12. One could argue that the Steelers did indeed have a better season, as they won the SB. One could further argue the Cards had a better season as they actually went to the SB, albeit lost. Regardless of whether or not we were 'for real', they both went to the show, and we didn't. Did we have a successful season? Absolutely. But that's another thread, I've caused enough trouble in this one.
  13. Who the hell is Blue Hearts? It better be a chick.
  14. I read this 3 times before I decided it bothered me. I know you've been a respectable poster both here and on the GMB, so I am going to try and say this with all due respect. We have a very small handful of 'trolls' here, 3 I would actually classify as true trolls. That's a pretty small amount compared to other message boards. We're a small community, and we do let alot of stuff slide, as our membership has been pretty tight knit for quite some time now. (In fact, if we followed the letter of the law, you calling Jack a douchebag would be a warnable offense, but I digress). The truth is, boards get stale, particularly in the off-season. Members have actually posted they WANT a few trolls around to liven the place up. Others find that a horrible thought. We can't win. Just as an example (and I'm only using Jack because he was referenced in this thread), let's say we ban Jack. Those who disagree with him would jump for joy, while the proponents of free speech would get their panties in a bunch. If we do nothing, people who dislike Jack's posts claim other boards were better, and call for him to be banned (I'm not saying you in particular called for him to banned). Yet the people who prefer to take what he says with a grain of salt and choose to either reply or ignore are happy because 'big brother' isn't dictating what they can and cannot read. Until Jack (or anyone for that matter) severely breaks the rules, he and anyone else around here is free to post pretty much whatever they like. We can't just warn/suspend/ban people just because they post things that people disagree with. Stupid posting is not a 'punishable' offense. Hell, we still get shit from some members for daring to ban the Fab 4 from here. The point is, it's a message board, and if everyone was always in agreement, or always liked what everyone else posted, it'd be pretty boring around here. Let me reiterate, Gspotter, this is not directed AT you, more like your post just set off the sounding board to explain a few things.
  15. No, not that I'm aware of. Of course, I said that last time too.
  16. What if Plax had no record of trouble, and he got busted for these traffic infractions? Everyone, and I mean everyone, would be crying bullshit. The only reason this is a 'big deal' is because of his past. You are right about the rest of your post though, and he is an idiot/immature or whatever one wants to call him, but in this particular instance, it's bullshit. He'll get a fine and be done with it like the rest of us caught speeding. Now, the odds on him actually PAYING the fine.....not so good.
  17. What a crock of shit. Seriously, who hasn't been guilty of speeding or 'improper lane changes'? And the dark window tint....if that's a serious offense, every car on "Pimp My Ride" would get pulled over on it's way out of the shop. I love what Mike Hunt had to say in the comments section:
  18. Sportswrath's version of "Celebrity Deathmatch". I wonder if they'll fight sans gloves. :boxing:
  19. "Rebirthing" by Skillet Not bad considering it's Christian Rock.
  20. No, the Admiral is awesome. You......you're a vagina.
  21. What makes you think all PETA-ites are white, huh? Please take your racist post somewhere else....like P&R. :smoke:
  22. I just picked up a Ward jersey from the Giants clearance section for $8.96. Kinda sad it's worth more than a Shockey.
