  1. But don't forget Bolden plays in the NFC West. Which adds about 20% to your final stat. We need a WR that stretches the field and stops safeties from creeping up to the line of scrimage. Bolden is not that guy.

Yeah, but atleast Boldin doesn't lead the league in drops. I understand braylon is young, and he's a good player, but I don't think he'll draw double teams like Boldin will. I'll be happy with either one of them, but I'm still leaning more towards Boldin

  2. How old is Boldin, and how tall is he. In my opinion, Boldin is wasy better, but from what John Clayton said we're so close to signing Edwards that I don't think Reese would even entertain the offer. I'd hate if we get Edwards and Boldin fell to the Eagles. Boldin doesn't drop balls, and he plays great even when hurt. If all we have to give up is a 1st, 3rd, and a player like Moss or Hixon then I'm down, like Charlie Brown

  3. Look at the numbers. When you draft at the bottom of every round (which we do), your picks aren't that valuable. If a team inside the top 10 or 12 (say, the 49ers) offered that package, then they would be able to move up to 2. A team drafting 29th? No chance.

    Stated differently...

VG, I'll give you $997 if you give me $2,600. Deal?

The biggest reason why I think it could happen is because the Rams don't want the #2 pick payout, and they need to address several positions

  4. I'm telling you it's impossible for the Giants to trade into the top 5. I demonstrated this in no uncertain terms. Go back and reread the post if you must. Use a calculator if you have to.

Later, on Sportswrath... Plax 4 Prez argues that 2 + 2 = 5. "Trust me on this, I've seen 2 in action." Stay tuned!

Dude, your trying to make me look like an idiot. I'm not one, so sorry. I'm bringing this subject up cause I feel it's a pressing subject to our team and that I feel that it would put us over the top of all the other teams in the NFC. We don't need 10 picks. Reese has agreed, don't you? We have the ammo for Boldin or Crabtree. Fuck Edwards. He drops more balls then a queer guy on Kings Avenue. I'm for real.

  5. Quite honestly, you can poll a random collection of paid professional NFL scouts, and 100% of them will say Calvin Johnson was a substantially better prospect than Michael Crabtree. There is no comparison, especially since the latter has been unable to verify his production through workouts.

And again, we don't have the ammunition to trade into the top-5. You might as well start a thread suggesting that the Giants trade for Raymond Berry, because it's just as likely to happen.

But I like how a guy who played on an 0-16 with Dan Orlovsky and Daunte Culpepper as his QBs can put up 78/1330/12 and be described as merely "ok."

Money, are you telling me it's inconceivable that the Giants would give picks up for a #1 reciever? Come on man. That's all we need to be an elite team. Seriously man, we have the ammo to get him. I like him better then Calvin. You will see. He is a day 1 starter that will wreck this league. Quote me on this

  6. I don't think I know it all. I just know some. Calvin Johnson was the best wide receiver draft prospect

since really...ever. He has the size, speed, talent and guess what...he is producing on a shit team and he hasn't

had a decent quarterback since probably high school.

I've seen what Crabtree can do also, I've also seen what Johnson did and can do...Johnson is better.

I never have anything positive to say because the Giants trading up to the Rams spot without sacrificing

picks this year and next year is simply illogical. Hell, even Money broke it down to you! A rookie will not

    help this team.

Dude, I can careless about what Money said. If you had the oppertunity to get a Jerry Rice and had to sacrifice a couple picks when you had 10 picks, do you not think it's worth it. Which is my bottom line question.

  7. If Calvin Johnson is Tiger Woods, then Michael Crabtree is Vijay Singh. Jerry Rice is, quite obviously, Jack Nicklaus.

Matt Jones would definitely be John Daly.

    Andy Reid is Craig Stadler.

Wtf, Money? Your my boy. Why don't you see where I'm coming from? Calvin is ok, but I know Michael will be elite. I put my lunch money on it. hahaha

  8. BigBlue.....I like you and I apologize for my outburst last week. But you're still a jabroni,

which loosely translates to "idiot and/or moron."

As for Plax 4 Prez.... Yeah, Crabtree is alot better than Calvin Johnson? Yeah..no he isn't.

And it isn't even close for all the reasons Money said. I don't know how you can come to the conclusion

if the Giants were to draft him, they would be a Superbowl winner. I would rather have Braylon Edwards

or Boldin because at least these guys have a track record to work with. And with the contracts, you'd be paying

Crabtree and Boldin/Edwards the same amount really.

As for the crack of "Go watch Tiger par a hole." I guess you're still pissed off about me becoming Mets mod.

    Sorry.

Pdouble...The Rock was the fucking man..no if's ands or buts about it.

Listen, I can give Two shits about being a mod on a message board I'm rarely on. I made that comment because you think you know all.. Calvin is ok. But I've seen what Crabtree can do. It personally offends me that you would bring up something so stupid as being a Mets mod like that offends me. I don't have a personal vendetta against you. I simply said go watch Tiger hit a par, because you like golf, right? And you never have anything positive to say when I make a thread so therefore I said what I said.

  9. "You my boy BLUE!"

No no dont get me wrong, Eli does need a legitimate number one WR to throw to and to also take pressure off our running game. However like I said every year there's a WR who is "the next big thing" in every draft and the majority of them turn out to be nothing but flops. If the Giant's were really interested in Crabtree you would of heard about it by now, with us bringing him in for workouts since he failed to do any this offseason.

Is he worth it to trade up and get him? No not in my opinion. The Giants are checking out what options they will have with their first round pick at WR in the draft, they have already brought a number of guys in and are liking a some of them. I'm sure some talent evaluator from the Giants has already went and checked out Crabtree and said to Reese what he thinks about the kid and so far it must not of been anything special since the Giants haven't said anything about moving up in the draft for him. Does this mean we wont? No, Reese is a tricky fellow and seems to keep all his draft ideas secret.

Right now I'd rather give up the picks for Edwards or even Boldin in a trade then Crabtree, but you never know what Reese is thinking.

P.S. Your still my boy P4P!! Just not seeing eye to eye on this Crabtree thing.

LOL. The Bud Light is doing more of the talking then I am right now, but I serioisly do see this as a big mistake if we didn't get him. Honestly I know he will be badass. I couldn't say the same for Calvin Johnson. I've seen Crabtree play in person and this guys atheltic ablility is insane. I would love him as much as I'd liked to get Boldin

  10. If you cut off your pinky toe, it would be hard to walk, even just stand up. Its a little more serious than that. And one other little correction..............We ARE the best team in the NFC, let alone the league. ;)

Bigblue, I am telling you as a friend. this is a franchise player who would bring many Super Bowls to our team and we have plenty of ammo to make it happen. I've known you for a while now, have I ever said that a guy will be great and it didn't happen. He needs to be wearing the Giant colors or I seroiusly will cry. Something I usually would never do. I mean it. This guy will be a Hall of Famer and he can be ours

  11. :blah: :blah:

There is always a WR(s) every year in the draft who everyone says this is true about them, I've only seen one so far who has lived up to his top 10 pick status in recent years and thats Calvin Johnson.

Were not going to take a risk on a kid who just went had foot surgery along with never playing a snap in the NFL. Experts say he is the best WR in this draft but if you actually look at this years WR class outside of Crabtree the rest are late first round picks to third round picks. It's a very week WR core this year and the Giants arnt desperate enough to trade away 3-5 picks for the second pick in the draft. I mean I could see if there were no trade talks at all and no WRs the Giants like, then us throwing the kitchen sink at the Rams to get Crabtree but it's been clear that the Giants are high on some of the other WRs in the draft if not trading for a WR.

I see Crabtree going to some team in the top 10 of the draft and then we will see if the hype about him has been real but the history of top WR picks is against him.

Of all people, not you. Blue your my boy. How can you say that. Crabtree only has a stress fracture on his pinky toe. You could cut my pinky toe off and I'll be fine. Crabtree is a future Hall of Famer. To you he ain't worth it? With him or Boldin (big if on Boldin) we are the best team in the NFC. Guys Like Jacobs and Manning need a good #1. Come on man. You know what I'm talking about

  12. That's because of the stadium situation and traffic that's all. i'm sure we'll be on the road on MNF.

I think the reason behind this is because the the Giants are pissed that Salma Heyek is jumping on my cock every night. I don't blame the Giants for not wanting to play on Monday night because if my cock is going to be lonely on Monday nights so should the Giants. P.S. don't tell my fiancee I said this. ;)

  13. I can't believe a lot of you guys wouldn't want to do this. If we only had 6 or 7 picks I would understand. This guy is a Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens without the ego. I've seen his college and high school videos and he is way better then the Calvin Johnson we saw a couple years ago. Believe me, this guy is a stud who's worth the picks

  14. If he's there in the late teens, it'd be worth trading up just to see, but I don't expect much from a guy who played in a prolific air it out offense in a conference not known for playing a whole lotta D.

VG, he's not going to fall out of the top ten, I promise you that. He's the best reciever in the draft. Teams like the Raiders will make sure he won't fall. We need to secure him. Nicks, Britt, and even Heyward-Bey won't do for our team. We need a true #1.

  15. Hines Ward??? Plus Santonio Holmes (who won the SuperBowl with his catch?)

Patriots had very good wide receivers as well. Not All-Pro good, but very good. Terry Glenn in his prime, Troy Brown, Deion Branch. Even David Patten at the time was pretty good.

Amen, brother. I guess thoughs guys are good recievers though. That's Why so many teams would love to have them. Dion Branch got the farm from Seattle. But no, the defenses were the only reason they won their championships. ;)

  16. Are u kidding me? The Ravens did have a Pro-Bowler named Shannon Sharpe and a couple of other good guys I can't remember and yes Dilfer sucked, but what's your point? If the Vikings would've made it to them that year they would've of won. Our O-line and Kerry Collins didn't show up, and Tiki had a sub-par game. So what's your point? It's ok to have a shitty offense when u have a great defense? That's fucken retarded. You need a balanced attack. Please don't tell me we'll be perfectly fine with medicore wr's. That's asidine

  17. why in the world does everyone say that? Can you name me ONE great receiver other than Bavaro that was on the 2 previous championship teams???

socal, your comparing the mid and late 80's to now?!? First off we don't have no where near as dominant of a defense as back then, and rules have changed. The NFL is "quarterback friendly" now. 2nd off how many teams have won the Super Bowl since then that didn't have a good 1st wr? Dude your comparing apples to oranges. You need balance in today's NFL. You live too much on the past. Just like how you feel about the Yanks. Guess what, times have changed, brotha

  18. He sure does look like the real deal. But then again, so did Peter Warrick.

lol, I live in Florida and I know Florida State players stink in the NFL. Warrick Dunn might 've been their best NFL player ever. You are right, some guys look like major studs in college, then come to the big leagues and end up being duds. I'm just telling you. I see Hall of Famer all over him. Just my gut instict.

  19. All this talk about Crabtree reminds me of Calvin Johnson. Johnson is a good player, no doubt....had a real nice 2008 on a crappy team. I'm not sure if Crabtree is as good as Johnson, and again, he's got a problem with his foot and hasn't run a 40 since high school.

You need to read the article that came out today on ESPN.com. It was a pinky toe, which will be fully healed way before training camp. His 40 was like a 4.60 I think I remember from that article. His goal is to get it around 4.40 and hewas even training with Michael Johnson just to get his launch better. As far as I remember Plax's 40 wasn't great, but we all know what he could do. Read that article on Crabtree (sorry I don't have the link, I'm posting from my Treo) then see what I'm talking about. Everyone loves this kid
