  1. He put all his chips on the table. Class act, great coach in my opinion.
  2. Reese had a very solid initial draft, but beyond that, numerous poor drafts and free agent signings that left the Giants with a poor roster by the time his time as GM ended. I think the two most important jobs of a GM are finding a coach and QB. Reese inherited a Coach-QB combination that would last together from 2004-2015. I don't have the stats in front of me as to how many QBs were drafted and coaches hired during those 11 years. But during that time, Reese was able to operate without needing to deal with those two biggest GM tasks. That's an incredible luxury, and I yet the roster got weaker, not better, after 2007. I have to give him credit where it is due. A portion of the roster during those two Super Bowl runs were the product of what Reese was able to put together. But I also think Eli's won/loss record is a better reflection of Reese's performance. And during both Super Bowl wins, the Giants had to beat teams who quite frankly had better supporting casts. So, I would agree, Reese was ultimately underwhelming as a GM.
  3. Doug Pederson fired by Eagles three years after winning the Super Bowl (usatoday.com)
  4. That's steep. I hope they can keep him. He was an animal this season.
  5. Leonard Williams has to stay. They could franchise him again, correct?
  6. New York Giants' Patrick Graham staying put, won't pursue head-coaching opportunities (espn.com)
  7. Definitely has a Parcells / Belichick vibe in terms of being direct in his comments. He's a no BS guy without coming off as a dick.
  8. If we had Kevin Boss instead of the Bong Hits All-Pro, Giants would be at least 8-8 this season.
  9. Interesting stuff. I saw the video of Ertz on the sideline after the game. We need to get Baldy and Romohater (back) on Sportswrath.
  10. When Seth Joyner is ashamed of the Eagles, that says something. Seth Joyner ‘ashamed’ of Eagles after Doug Pederson pulled Jalen Hurts | RSN (nbcsports.com)
  11. Engram is one of the biggest reasons the Giants are sitting home during the playoffs.
  12. Line help (DL or OL) is always something I'll get behind. But the Giants really need an impact receiver...hopefully someone is there in round 2.
  13. I mean I've never seen anything like that. And I'm putting aside the Giants....they made their bed at 6-10, they don't deserve any sympathy, after going 1-7 they pretty much guaranteed they'd be missing the playoffs. Total embarrassment for the NFL.

  15. Pederson basically threw the game. If he's going to put "Suds" in there, he should have pulled all his starters. I actually felt bad for the Eagles players watching them bust their asses until the end of the game. Looks very bad for him, the Eagles, and the NFL. I used to respect Pederson. Not any longer. I say this as someone who doesn't think the Giants deserve jack shit after a 6-10 season. They had numerous opportunities to take control of the division, and they whiffed.
  16. If Reese were still GM this kid would be a Giant.
  17. I watched highlights around the league yesterday....and their ain't a single Giant who could have caught some of the passes I saw. I'm not making excuses for Jones. He is still a long way from being in a conversation with guys like Manning and Simms. He's still a kid compared to those two. But the Giants would be looking at a 9-7 season if Barkley didn't go on IR in game 2. This team desperately needs a playmaker at WR.
  18. Dairy is my achilles heel. And I'm pretty sure you can't rehab an achilles with yoga. ....and now I've said too much.
  19. McCoy is getting the start. It's a better option than an injured Jones. New York Giants Colt McCoy Will Start, Freddie Kitchens Will Call Plays Against Cleveland Browns - Sports Illustrated Cleveland Browns News, Analysis and More
