  1. I see not enough people in the front office remember Jason Sehorn. Didn't we have Tiki returning kicks early in his career?
  2. Remember when playing a road playoff game at Lambeau was intimidating?
  3. Pepper Johnson. Former Giant player, understands the value of linebacker play, has been under the wing of Bill Belichick in New England for 14 years coaching D-line and linebackers.
  4. I miss the Osi of 5 years ago. I missed that Osi when Osi was still a Giant.
  5. 2007 - 12 sack game, got them back to .500
  6. If we are going to go 2-14 I can't think of 2 wins I want more than beating the Eggholes.
  7. In the original ending for Terminator: Salvation, John Connor was going to die and the terminator was going to wear his skin and impersonate him to keep the resistance going.
  8. Now Carolina can go ahead and cut Chase, his usefulness is over.
  9. I think when Nike unveiled the new unis last year they said they were composed of different materials in different places and were supposed to breathe off sweat and heat.
  10. Like we're afraid of Lambeau field? Talk to us when you can beat us in the playoffs in your own house
  11. Yup, that was the game after our disasterous meltdown agains the Eagles in 2010, giving up 24 points in 7:30 to blow the division title. The team was still shellshocked. The winner of that game made the playoffs and the loser was out. The Giants were still shellshocked and GB capitalized and went on a championship run.
  12. Here, I'll out-geek you. I hate the binary watches/clocks because they aren't truly binary. For 12:00, for example, the hour should be 001100 (12) but they all break up the decimal digits, i.e. 1 (000001) + 2 (000010). THAT'S NOT BINARY, CHEATERS!
  13. They're coming back, it's the hot new smartphone accessory. Pebble Performance Center?
  14. I combined it with the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, but yeah, no water parks in Cleveland or anything.
  15. I went days before SB XLIII. It was fun to see the history of the game going back to the origins, and there's lots of Giants related stuff in every era. I got a kick out of it. I might go back for Strahan's induction.
  16. The Browns dominated the NFL in the 50s, won 4 championships in their old league and 4 more in the NFL. Far from the shittiest franchise in NFL history. SINCE THEN, yes.
  17. Thus "when they weren't flipping the switch in December." Outside of those two SB wins (and they were miraculous, don't get me wrong) this team's history under Coughlin is one of epic collapse in the worst possible spots. Or did you forget how the 2012 season ended already? 6-2 start every season, annual collapses, sub .500 2nd half record, one home playoff win... Don't get me wrong, the SB wins are great, but this has got to be the most jekyl-and-hyde team ever, and nobody has any idea how to fix it. I remember Parcells' teams for their character and mental toughness more than for the SB wins -- the SB wins are a result of the former. I will remember Coughlin's teams for their annual collapses and choke jobs. I was describing the team to a foreigner who doesn't follow (American) football and had to say, when they are "on" they can beat anybody, the problem is they aren't always "on" and can also lose to anybody, and badly.
  18. I know, right? They were sleepwalking through the season opener against Dallas and only woke up a few times during the season. That's what's going to stick with me about the Coughlin era when it's over -- wasted potential and inexplicable sleepwalking when they weren't flipping the switch in December.
  19. I'd rather let Nicks go and feature Cruz. He's a freak. I love Nicks but (a) he's a prototypical textbook WR not a freak like Cruz, and (b) he's injured too much.
  20. It's probably coming out now because the Giants typically do a season post-mortem at the end of the year where the front office sits down with the coach and reviews what happened. These were probably the suggestions of the Maras and Reese's crew in the post-mortem. The Maras have a fine reputation for being hands off during the season, and sometimes too much so. I understand they want to let the coach do his job, but sometimes the Maras, being around football for generations, might actually have some good suggestions during the season too. The problem is anything they would say would have to be taken as gospel because they are the owners and that leads down the whole Jerry Jones dynamic which they avoid.
  21. The guy who rents himself out for kickball parties.
  22. I am generally patient but I was calling for Coughlin's head after the 2010 Eagles meltdown, when we went from locking up the division to missing the playoffs in 5 quarters. That and the constant 6-2 starts and subsequent collapses. My reasoning was that, like the Yankees 2004-2007 with Joe Torre we were waiting for magic to come back and with the constant first round bootings it was in vain. Then the magic DID return. IMO he's golden, or it would take 4-5 years of Torre-like frustration before we would dare question his job again.
