  1. And making two of his first three appearances ever against the Packers and Saints. -Z
  2. Just did the breakdown myself 1st Half - 13/19 175 Yards 1 TD 2nd Half- 2/9 17 Yards (Couple of passes that were almost picks) The only offense we produced in the second half was when we ran it down their throats on that one drive. -Z
  3. Buried in all the goodness of this game was that Eli didn't have a real good second half. He was pretty erratic and just kinda off on his throws. I don't have the numbers but I'm positive his second half numbers were terrible. -Z
  4. Gilly called a wicked game today. Loved that he stuck to the run even when it was producing nothing and loved the little things they did to help buy Eli time. Sometimes, you gotta hand it to the man. -Z
  5. People should be apologizing to Prince Amukamara....who's awesome. -Z
  6. I still think he can't cover worth anything....he's always out of position or at best late to the ball. Made some nice grabs today though that's for sure. -Z
  7. I especially enjoyed the smug arrogance with which he flicked that challenge flag towards the ref.....the challenge that never stood a chance. -Z
  8. I'm not gonna even pretend I don't wanna say it....I told you so. Sole possession of the East BG, you outta get in here for some crow serving. (Btw, I honestly think you have a slightly skewed view of the Giants from our games with the Eagles. You guys are straight up in our heads and give us more problems than anybody. We play better against pretty much everyone else.) Now, can I please stop hearing about the Niners and the zillion points they scored against dysfunctional teams, and Alex Smith's pretty passer rating??? -Z
  9. Wow what an emotional outburst. Gilly wins this one. He's actually calling out the "getting away with murder" analogy? lol -Z
  10. Wasn't referring to you with the over-hyping. Nothing wrong with your prediction. Was just referring to the media, who I think are overblowing the Niners big time after the last two weeks. -Z
  11. Rocky Bernard is a tough loss for us in a game like this. We're weak up the middle right now. I'm excited that Hosley's back. Guy has playmaker written all over him. -Z
  12. Believe me I respect them a ton. Anyone who bit their knuckles through that NFC championship game walked away with a huge sense of respect for them. I just think that even with all that said they're being overhyped at the moment. -Z
  13. Don't worry the subsequent Giant collapse is also in the rule book, along with the Eagles being right there to torment us at the end and Romo having a torrid and ultimately meaningless December. Can't wait for Sunday. -Z
  14. I think people are blowing the Niners WAY out of proportion. And I acknowledge fully that they are a truly excellent, physical and just all around pretty awesome team. But that just highlights how much they are being blown out of proportion. They're being portrayed as like the 07' Patriots. It's silly. Am I supposed to be quaking in my boots because they just blew out the Jets and Bills respectively? I mean, I know we've yet to beat a relevant team but what reactionism. Am I supposed to be intimidated that they hung 45 on the Bills? Really? The JETS hung 48 on the Bills. Again, they're an awesome team, with an awesome and intimidating defense and an awesome running game but let's hold off with the "They're an unbeatable machine" kool-aid. -Z
  15. Niners are good but the Giants start 6-2 by rule. -Z
  16. Giants win and are in sole possession of 1st in the East by weeks end. -Z
  17. For everyone who missed it it's available in pieces on both giants.com and nfl.com in the videos section on the Giants page.... -Z
  18. The Packers deserve this after the 4-5 insane calls the real refs gave them last year when they played us. Karma. -Z
  19. Yeah that game should probably never get brought up ever in any conversation for any purpose. -Z
  20. Jack I don't the Cowboys are in our head at all. I think the Eagles are pretty much the only team in our heads. I think we're in the Cowboys, Patriots and Packers heads, and the Jets as well but in a completely different way. -Z
  21. http://sports.yahoo....23714--nfl.html I'm a little concerned about this. I get that the replacement refs are getting the substitute teacher treatment, but I don't like the NFL going down this path, lest we end up like the NBA, where they have instituted the most illogical and impracticle rules for how you are allowed to react to things. It's always refreshing to watch an NFL game and see a guy be able to scream in frustration at a call or play that didn't go his way. I'm concerned that once this becomes a part of the game it will continue even when the regular refs come back. Can you imagine if that play where Bennett's helmet was ripped off was an offsetting penalty because Bennett was furious and hurled an f-bomb the refs way? That's what it's like today in the NBA and it's completely out of control. Secondly, can the NFL even do this? Is there an existing rule concerning behavior toward officials that they are just threatening to enforce more expansively or are they inventing such a penalty? Because I'm pretty sure there's a rules committee and a process for this and the league office can't just make up new penalties. I know there's a rule about touching officials, but I've never seen anyone flagged for arguing too much etc..What's the deal? -Z
  22. That posturing after the TD really told me a lot about Cam. Really shows where the guys head is when his team's being pummeled. -Z
  23. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8112247/nfl-how-long-too-long-o-line Diehl and Locklear are 31, Snee and Bass are 30, Boothe is 29, and Beatty is 27.... Even with Beatty in there we barely make the cut, and with Locklear we're over at 151... Just thought this was interesting -Z
