  1. i love jload he was so much fun to watch his fat ass run around in college.....i wish him well is he signed any where.....i went to the game he was supposed to start when eli was gonna be out for 3 months with that shoulder injury lol but eli played.....i was excited to get to see him but at the same time i was happy eli played
  2. The victim was 16, one year below the legal age of consent in New York, St. Lawrence said. Read More: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/nfl/05/06/lawrence-taylor.ap/index.html?eref=sihp#ixzz0nAzZvytV Get a free NFL Team Jacket and Tee with SI Subscription
  3. yeah he lead in sacks....but he was also benched.....so i would have to think his play had something to do with that......being that he was put in on passing downs for the most part.....alls he had to do was pin his ears back and go after the qb...didnt have to think about the run really which would mean kiwi would be out and osi in on obivous passing downs meaning more oppurtunities to get sacks for osi less for kiwi
  4. this sucks poor guy..... talk about the wrong place at the wrong time....yeah it was bad that he did what he did with a 16 year old girl. but at the end of the day alls the guy did was pay for an escorte....which many many good men do everyday.....you excpect to get what you paid for what you paid for from the product....how was he to know she was 16 and a run away now he is going down...the pimp is hte one that should be getting in trouble here but unfortunatly thats not how the law works....i would be intrested to see if this was ann advertised "escorte service" like the millions you see in the yellow pages
  5. ok im gonna say it osi is over rated i really liked him till the stuff he pulled this year.........he made a name for himself off of one game against a rookie left tackle making his first start.....that was his best season....but six of those sacks came in one game....that was like half his sack total that whole season. he has one move......if he doesnt beat u with that first quick outside move hes done.....he is terrible in run support as well........sounds like i think he is a terrible player....i dont....but i do think he is over rated............some fans consider this guy a top DE....far from it....he is an elite pass rusher maybe...but he is not a complete DE..........he wants to be treated and paid like a top 5 DE and he just isnt. i dont know i really lost respect after he pulled that start me or i retire bs....i mean cmon dude......if you were confident in your ablity why would you have a problem EARNING the spot. all that being said i hear all that teams were offering were like 5th round picks......i think if somebody threw a 3 at us it would ahve been a done deal osi has alot to prove to himself the team the fans and the leauge this season.
  6. as im i dude preachign turnovers and getting to the ball. we got some potential hawks back in our secondary....good things could come
  7. i dont know man.......the way this offense is set up is it is a read and react......if eli sees something and shockey doesnt see it the same way it leads to the TE going one way while the QB is anticipating the TE to go another it was pointed out by coaches that shockey was missing his reads....yes some of it was in accuracy on elis part but when you see throws five yards away while the WRs back is turned that is usually a mis read on either the QB or the recievers part.......8 out of 10 i would think it would be the WR running the wrong out route or check off route shockey tried to pull the same shit in NO when bress missed him in a smiilar fashion.....difference was bress got in his face yelled at him in front of the camera and let him know whos offense it is and whos running the show.....somethign eli had trouble with early on
  8. he constently ran wrong routes and always seemed to miss the hot reads. how many times did you see the ball thrown right while shockey turned left.........kept running on come backs.........i think our offense was a little to trick for him. everybody thought including myself shockey would finaly live up to his rookie season after being traded to the saints.....guess what never happened and why is that??? well one hes never on the field as usual and two he tried to bull his ,little girly fits with bress and got bitched lol that was great lol
  9. word up. i would have to say boss is way more of a clutch player also.......he always seems to come up with the big catch were as shockey would make a coastlly drop. also as you mentioned the "team player" attitude and his character is far better then shocks. if we are judging by madden ratings then yes shockey is better.....if we are talking about pure natrual ability yes shockey is better....if you are asking who i would rather go to battle with and trust on the field boss is the man for me
  10. i would have been fine with reaching at 15 for weatherspoon i thought he was the best fit for us since the start of the drafting process.........i think he will be more of a play maker then mcclain why oh why didnt we trade down a few spots and grab him.......they say he could easly move to MLB in the NFL JR screwed the poch on this one
  11. Tight end Jeremy Shockey is committed to working out with his team in the offseason -- thanks in some part to the climate. In past years with the New York Giants, Shockey preferred to stay in his college town of Miami for most of the offseason. But last year he said he wanted to make a commitment to spend more time working with quarterback Drew Brees and the rest of his teammates. "You know, it's hard working out in New York when it's cold outside and you have to work indoors. It's great weather here, and I have no excuse not to be here," Shockey said. what a punk....waaaaaaaaah it was to cold to practice in NY....what a girl......this is football your a football player....if you dont like playing in the elements maybe baseball or basketball would have better served him....maybe he should have took up bowling with how often he gets hurt. i guess now he realizes wow maybe im not as good as i thought i was....maybe working out with the team with get me the ball more...hey maybe i'll even learn proper reads. it only took this guy six years to get it......to little to late jermey boy....glad he isnt a giant anymore....i think he realizes the saints arent putting up with his crap.....they drafted a tight end and have a good one backing him up already (who did play better then shockey when called upon)....the writting is on the wall....i think this is shockeys last season to put up or shut up.....if he doesnt have a good year this season i can see the saints cutting his ass
  12. not really what ive been hearing quote for perry "I want to be fundamentally sound. I want to be multiple in what we do. I want to attack. I want to be aggressive in what we do. I want our players to play fast and have fun playing the game. Definitely create turnovers; I believe you score on defense," Fewell said. "I think you have to be physically tough. We have to play with discipline and we have to play as a team on defense" tampa 2 is not known to be an aggressive attacknig d. i guess the key word in that article is a "version".........if we go to a zone covarge secondary our CBs will be medioca at best it was proven in the past they are not good in zone.....maybe the safties will play deep zone but i dont excpet to see the CBs in zone coverage much also pls keep in mind it doesnt really matter what he ran last year....he has ran quite a few Ds in his time he has also ran a 3-4 but we arent making that switch
  13. Fewell dialed up blitzes and man-to-man coverages out of “single-high” (one safety) packages, which means his being categorized as strictly a “Tampa 2” (Cover-2) coach isn’t accurate. Posluszny agreed Fewell broke the Cover-2 mold on second and third downs
  14. why are all of you so convinced we are running a tampa 2???? i know fewell ran one in buffallo but he has also ran other Ds throughout his coaching days. iver read he was keeping a simial scheme as to the one spags ran. we do not have the personal to run a tampa 2...tamap two requires undersize line men and lbers......that are quick and nimble.....thats not what we have on our roster right now are secondary is better in man covarge then zone....case in point webby was considered a bust in lewis' zonoe scheme in a man scheme he was considered one of the best in the game. we are not set up to be a tampa two D
  15. im gonna have to say your right to some degree.......some positions tho like you said are going to have to be embedded at an early age....like qb....got to get those habbits and technique down at an early age (ie tebow)......need to learn to plant the feet throw with your feet and not your arm so on and so forth. also CB is another postion that relies heavely on technique.......you can get by in college on athletic ablity but if your not fluid in the hips and have the back pedle techniques down you will fail in the nfl as for DE you are probably right u can get by on great ablity and so so technique
  16. hope your right and sintim is ready to become the guy.....i think hes rdy...as for wilkinson.....i feel he is a little of a liablity out there.........hes been on the team for what 4 season now....coming out of college they said he was some what raw and gonna need a few years to get up to the nfl level of play (sound familiar).....not happy going in with wilks starting hope he proves me wrong. sorry your right they will be moving from LDE to RDE didnt sound like that in my post but obviously i do not think tuck will be playing RDE all game on every down....maybe i should have spelt that one out better. you really think Ross is gonna beat out TT??? he was agruably our best D player last season
  17. the chad jones pick gave me a semi.....and not just cuz im an LSU fan (among other college programs).......he has above avg skills in every aspect of his game that you look for in a saftey.....can run hit and cover...and as you said is big enough to play LB.....this should help us stop the run bringing this guy up to the box on running downs.......if all goes acorrding to plan and our d looks like the following we are good......starting line tuck, canty, coefeild (with joseph alford rotating in) osi (with kiwi and JPP rotating in) LBers Boley, omg who else besides boley lol we are in trouble here i guess golff in the middle and i dont know uhm who plays the other side lol this blows ok so theres the problem lets move to the secondary starting Webby, TT, and ross in the nickle, bruce johnson as the dime (wich i think as a shot and stealing the nickle spot from ross this season) our safties would be KP and rolle with Jones coming in and out (worst case it would be rolle and jones with grant subing still not terrible) is seems for once the secondary my be the strong point of our team this year i think you can get by with avg LBers if you have a very good line and above avg secondary....as long as the LBers stick to thier assignments we should be fine sorry to ramble and go off topic not sure if any of that made sense
  18. agreed maybe its acutally a good thing in his case that he as so little experiance....these bad habits will be easier to fix (if there is any that is)....then say somebody like tebow who has been doing it since pop warner
  19. weatherspoon might not have been rated as high....but i do feel he is the most complete LB coming out of the draft....he can run cover and hit.....Scouts are saying he would have no problem starting at ILB in the NFL....he has the smarts to go along with the ablity. now this is just me saying this a guy behind a desk so what do i know.....just my opinion i also think if we drafted McClain there would be some diappointed fans out there........is he the best lber coming out from day one yeah probably....he played in an nfl style d....but some of his weaknesses are the same we had for years.....not the fastest LB struggles side line to side line...but he hits like a truck and has been the QB of the D in college very smart in terms of football IQ.......good run stuffer struggles in man coverage (sounds like AP dosent it)....some scouts feel sabans schem helped mask soem of his short comings......he is gonna be a quality MLB no doubt about it....but i think he is far from being a stud...compared to some of the other MLB that have came out in recent years and made impacts as a rookie and i say he is a step below. being that we would have grabbed him at 15 or higher i would imagine fans would have high expectation of this guy and would think he would become a ray lewis/Urlacher type that dominates games....i just dont see that out of him....he will be far from a bust but labling him a stud not so much
  20. def have to disagree there....if that were true DHB and troy williamiams would be all pro WR.....vernon goloshton would not have busted......jerry rice wouldnt have been an all start yes you can learn techniquest but it is far from "not hard to master".........esp when it comes to things such as hip movemnt and angles if that were true phillip rivers would not be throwing side arm.......when develop bad habbits they are hard to over come....maybe in practice its easy but in the heat of battle that muscle memory comes back and instincts kick in
  21. that i heard also i was talking about the guy your high on the DT
  22. ablity and potential...........thats really alls he has going for him........im not saying he is gonna bust because i really have no idea but he has every single red flag a player coming out of college could have -question about his desire to play -He only managed to start 11 games at FSU....it was his first year playing at a major program against top compettition....why did he only start 11 games??? in those 11 games he got 6 sacks...decent number BUT he was a top 15 pick...i would think a 15th pick would have had more then just 6 sacks (was he really drafted on potential alone cuz the stats werent there -he switched schools twice......(2 JR colleges)......he had problems staying on the field because of his grades at every school except FSU (big program helping players in order to win perhaps?) -his desiere to play is in question (biggerst of them all) -it is said that he has trouble with stamina esp late in games (while this happens when you just started playing football 3 years ago)....this part scares me.....this is a volient sport that demands your body to be in the best condition possilby imaginable.......you need to start conditioning your body from a young age to perpare yourself for the vigors of the nfl he has potential to be great 100 percent but he does hold every red flag imaginable that screams bust
