It is a sign of a GM panicking - I think even the Giant FO knows how bad this offseason is perceived.

Actually the Giants have had as good a year in this offseason than any other that I can remember. I really like the approach that they have taken and I have very high ambitions for next season. The only position that I'm worried about is DT and I'm still a little worried about the secondary, but that'll go away if Webster shows me something in the preseason. He is still a big ? right now.

This is great and the kid is a very hard worker. At 6'7", he could be another Antonio Gates - let that headcase Shockey stay in Miami - this kid will show up and work with the Giants.

I know nothing about this kid except that 4.21 is really fucking fast. Drafting pure speed in the 7th round - completely fine by me.

Just to show how fast he is...Deion Sanders ran a 4.26. I wonder if this kid can catch a punt or maybe I would try to convert him to a WR. There is really so much you can do when a player has this type of ability. I guess we sill see how good our coaching staff really is. All I know is that I'm really excited about this kid.

THe giants lost in the playoffs because the lacked a solid tuff

defense. THe also lost because the LB core was a patched

unit that couldnt beat HS team.

 

The lost playoffs you are refering to was against the panthers

and if you watch the film you see a total breakdown of the entire

team that day Not Eli manning alone losing the game due to his play.

 

A total team loss and breakdown But the Giants D in particular especially

the LB and secondary were horrible. Also the panthers double teamed

OSi and Stray because the middle of the D line (DT's ) never colapsed the

pocket affording the panthers the ability to double osi and stray giving

jake Delhome plenty of time to exploit our already weak secondary.

Did osi and stray have a big game that day ??

 

You blame Eli but as a QB in his 1st full season he played well.

YEs he could have been more consistant with his passing accuracy

but over all it was a solid 1st year performance.

Eli is leaps and bounds ahead Mcnair, especially at this point in his career. Mcnair would've been great to have on this team 4 years ago, but not now.

I also laugh when I read how crazy some of these posts are, I mean really guys, can anyone ever win? Your opinion is that Eli sucks and that's fine, but really think about what you say sometimes. Our money and future is invested in Eli, the Giants feel that he is the their guy and we will know if they are right 3 years from now. As much as the Giants need a DT, I wouldn't cry if they somehow wheeled and dealed and ended up with Maryland TE Vernon Davis. It'll never happen, of course, but it sure would address another glaring problem for the Giants at the TE position.

Arrington is a dope - he always forgets the plays and gets out of position. For every great hit he gets, he is out of position for 5 plays. The reason the Redskins benched him was because so many big plays went through him, becuase he was out of position. He is also a disaster in pass coverage. The Redskin fans are laughing at everyone drooling over this Redskin bench jockey.

Yes Accorsi's signing of Barrett Green and Carlos Emmons is legendary - he followed that up with signing another injury reserve candiate in Will Demps. Right now the intrepid Accorsi is perusing other teams IR lists for more Giant free agent signings - if they aren't hurt, they better be old like Madison and Emmons!

Green got injured while he was here, and Emmons hasn't done all that bad for us. Emmons was hurt and the Eagle's released him, but he has been a good addition to this team. Green was a great pick up at the time, he was young and never injured, but hey those things happen sometimes. Will Demps is fine, and Madison may be 31 (which is not old) but he never had any major injuries. Madison will be inspired to play here and he will have a huge year.

Wrong - Big Ben won three road games in the playoffs and had the best QB rating of all playoff QBs entering the Super Bowl Game. He is the youngest in history to win the Super Bowl as the starting QB - Eli "Barney Fife" Manning had the worst rating with a complete collapse against the Panthers. The Giants loss at home was the 5th worst for a home team in the playoffs in NFL history - that from a Number 1 that cost a fortune in money and draft picks. Ben Roethlisberger is a championship QB with a stringer , more accurate arm, and he doesn't shrink in thepocket like all Mannings do when playoff time comes. Just another example of a bonehead Accorsi first round pick - he passes up the best QB in the draft to take Peyton's little brother - what a dope.
