  1. Yes that pick was awful. so is this author's football knowledge. at least writing the article allowed him to learn who Olivier Vernon is so that's a plus

    Bump

I'm a glass is 1/2 empty guy right now but the article was written by a hater.

  2. They STINK until proven otherwise. 7-9 followed up with back to back 6-10 seasons. I don;t get the optimism. The O-line sucks balls and they have done nothing to improve it.

Have any of you guys listened to a Mcadoo "pep talk"? I've had flag league coaches sound more motivating.

  3. My biggest takaway from the WFAN interview.

"We had several draft classes that went largely unproductive"

    and

"our biggest proprity this offseason will be our offensive line"

  4. yes i do too ...... and post occasionally .........mostly to oppose bloody Carbo !

PS ....firstnten ....have you seen relyoneli recently ?

Yes he went with me to the Saints game.

  5. Vikings and bears have the tie-breaker over us...

6 Minnesota 8 6 0 .571 3-2-0 6-5-0 .485 .402 Wins tie break over Dallas based on best win percentage in conference games. Division tie break was initially used to eliminate NY Giants (Dallas wins tie break over NY Giants based on best win percentage in division games). Division tie break was initially used to eliminate Chicago (Minnesota wins tie break over Chicago based on best win percentage in division games).

7 Chicago 8 6 0 .571 2-3-0 5-5-0 .546 .424 Wins tie break over Dallas based on head-to-head win percentage. Division tie break was initially used to eliminate NY Giants (Dallas wins tie break over NY Giants based on best win percentage in division games).

Thats as of right now. If Dallas loses to washington and the Giants beat the eagles then they tie in divison games and it comes down to common opponents. i think.....

  6. Not just Minnesota and Chicago, but Dallas and Seattle as well. Seattle sits at 9-5 while Chicago, Minnesota, Dallas, and the Giants sit at 8-5.

If the Giants finish with a better overall record than these teams, then they'll be assured a wild card.

If the Giants finish tied with these teams, but hold a better conference record, which they do currently, they'll get a wild card.

So, the chances the Giants get in are still very good, but they could be dashed with a loss to Philadelphia (hurts the conference record tiebreaker).

Dallas finishes home to New Orleans and away at Washington

NY Giants finishes at Baltimore and home against Philadelphia

Seattle finishes home to San Francisco and home to St. Louis

Minnesota finishes at Houston and home against Green Bay.

Their chances should have been dashed with the Joke of a game they played last weekend. Seatlle has two division games and Dallas is going to washington for the divison. I for one don't see these two in the mix but thats why they play every Sunday...

and now that I said it Dallas will win the divsion and seattle will take the wildcard......WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I do.

    Do you post?

That place has serioulsy declined in the quality of the coverage since Mike Garafolo left. IMO it's terrible. That Jose guy maybe one of the worst beat reporters I have read. Goto the NY post and read Schwartz's blog, it's head an shoulders better. It's to the point of being pathetic.

  8. ( trying to be positive despite that abysmal game yesterday ) .....but the season is still totally in our own hands .........win the next 5 games and we are in the Superbowl !

thanks for the update gmenroc ( ...by the way ...is there any sequence of events in which we scrape into the playoffs as the 6th seed at 9-7 ? )

It depends on how CHi and Minny does in the next two games.

Here is the scary thing. I had the same feeling as last year...this team sucks balls and has no business being in the playoffs. Just as I think this the team goes on a tear.

In all the years of watching football I have never seen a team that looks so poorly coached and so out classed one week suddenly change gears and look the total opposite the next.

I'm looking for an analogy here but keep coming up empty.

  9. Manning stunk last night. The first INT he threw into double coverage but he was hit as he threw the ball Wilson got blown up trying to pass protects. Snee and Diehl got used all game they could not pick up critical 3rd and 2 and 4th and 2 fall ahead rushing plays. IMO the onus starts with Eli, then the oline, then the lack of a pass rush.

There is no silver lining here.
