  1. Its clear the correct play is to sign Eli to a 3 year extension and draft the sure thing from the 2020 crop. Gives that guy a year to learn from an old pro and you have a seasoned backup in case the young gun gets injured in his year two. Which is a possibility if the Giants cant free up cap space to dramatically upgrade their OL
  2. The days of the fire sale are pretty much gone. Teams are placing a higher value on their draft picks, mainly for money reasons. 2 or 3 more years of cost control on an elite player's rookie contract is too enticing for most owners to move on from. Then if you find a willing trade partner will they meet your compensation demands or are you overvaluing your player. Then lets say you make a haul of draft picks, how many will pan out. Look at the Browns. And if the picks work out, usually you will know by year 3 which means you will have a bunch of players just hitting their stride who will also be hitting the free agency market. So a good scouting organization is also a prime requirement to keep the pipeline full as is a good coach to make the pieces fit together. That's a lot to ask for. Pats are the only ones doing that to a high degree, maybe KC is a little behind them with Pitt. Don't see the Rams as a long term winner, they seem to be in it to win it now.
  3. Yeah, but none of the donut crumbs and powdered sugar that were daily staples in the weight room with AR around (emphasis on the round) I hope I put you in a better position to successfully respond but if not, its on me and I have to do a better job Times yours. Hey BG, does that about cover the phrases we heard in every post game presser with fatso. I mean, except for the commonly overheard " Yeah, that's right. 4 extra large with pepperoni. Put it on my tab and hurry up. I haven't eaten in 6 hours"
  4. Its just that The Eagles are prohibitive favorites for at least the next 6 Super Bowls, and everybody in the know is aware of it so the talking heads are looking to hype other stories to keep readership/viewership engaged. Glad I could clear that up for you.
  5. Just my luck. I hate frogs leg soup. Couldn't we have like cheesesteaks and Tastykakes raining down instead?
  6. Hey BE You made it back just in time. Pulling for Vinny Curry to have a big game.
  7. Keenum had a QBR of 5.1 when pressured by NO. For Nov and Dec he was pressured on 40% of passing plays ,given injuries and line shuffling over the last two months. Also an indication they ran a lot on 1st and 2nd and passed on 3rd. The Eagles led the league in QB pressures over the year. They have to shut down the run game which should be a little easier than against Atlanta who has a better RB tandem.
  8. They should go for Barclay in the 1st then get OL in 2&3 if they have those picks. You can live with Eli for another year or two. You could supplement by trading Beckham for another contract controllable WR and a high draft pick
  9. Wouldn't want to see Jones in a game this year although a test drive against Dallas would have some appeal. He needs a full training camp to understand the speed of the NFL as well as the physical aspect of tackling. If he plays in the playoffs its almost tipping their hand, he might be able to play man one on one, but that means they aren't in zone and are setting up to defend he pass. Instead I would threaten green Goblin with a baseball bat to the knee cap if he bites on another stop and go, just something to get his attention.
  10. Save the cost of relocation. They can achieve the no fans point by letting that idiot poofy buy the team and let him install crapdownhisneck as the starter over Cam. If that happens even the homeless woudnt seek refuge in the stadium
  11. Give the poor guy a chance. He is barely out of rookie coaching school. Lord knows he doesnt spend much time staring at himself in a mirror, given with that haircut, so he should be able to focus on drawing up an innovative offensive scheme.
  12. Its not McAdoo's fault they cant catch or tackle. Vereen flat out butter fingers an easy throw, Apple wants no part of the runner on the 3rd/33 play. The team has bad injuries to key players, last year they were healthy and had a better record so I dont see how they forgot to play ball over one year. They have Flowers to protect Eli's blind side and Fluker is a stud on running plays to his side. Blame the D for not showing up and that falls on Spags. Do you want him running the show after that mess today? Better off to push up on the cap limit and get some veteran OL players for next year's run.
  13. McAdoo is trying hard, things just not going his way. Give him another 5 years to figure it out. You all will thank me
