Most teams spend huge amounts of money on' big name' Left Tackles ....and end up having no CAP space . DD has cost us very little over the last decade in real terms ...and yet he has been an admirable LT and had huge versatility elsewhere. You could argue that we have been able to afford Eli partly because DD was cheap ! ( remember when False Start Luke went and we were all terrified that Eli would be flattened ) ......not only did Eli remain upright and win 2 Superbowls ......we forgot about Luke straight away ...we had very few Offensive Line penalties and very few sacks recorded against us. DD I salute you sir , regards UK

good post Nas .....i agree .....DD has been a great Giant. When he took over at LT from Luke he did a geat job in keeping Eli safe and upright.......and we went on to win 2 Lombardis. He has never cost us the Earth .....he has worked hard ....and taken pay cuts and position move with dignity as he slowed down. Hope he sticks around for a while. regards UK

Line looks quite good (IMO)....... but a lot depends on whether Tuck has anything left , whether JPP can get back to 2010 form and how they utilise Kiwi ( can we get to the opposing QB regularly ? in the NFC East ...im not sure) .....i must admit we look thin in places ......one or two injuries away from a shambles. Linebacking remains a real concern , although Safety and Corners look ok . ( however .....i had this feeling about 2007 season ......and look how it ended up ! )

Well I liked Chase and all the passion he brought to the Giants ....... But let's face it guys ..... He is getting old , getting slow and we needed to move on . ( we decided that he wasn't the future when we cut him 2 years ago .... And only got him back off the street in an act of desperation ) Good luck Chase and thanks for the memories ( apart from when you nearly cost us the Superbowl in Glendale in 08 when you were the 12th bloody man on the field !)

Cruz would be foolish to leave New York and Eli ...........He is going to make millions and millions of dollars if he stays put ..............he might be the next Steve Smith or Mario Manningham if he departs. The Giants have made him a fair offer .....he is no fool ......im sure he will remain a Giant. ( these things just take time )

yes .......well done JR ......we needed to do this as a priority........Eli needs to stay upright and Beatty is worthy of that deal ( IMO )
