  1. Reinforces and reminds us to not take now for granted.
  2. Ok granted we did not have the ideal training camp time with everyone together healthy, none of those guys are rookies. They would be playing if the season started tomorrow. I just can't see how this team could be worse at this point, they have to prove it to me.
  3. Two preseason games in and one series with half the possible starters. Safe to say haven't seen anything probably for the best to be honest. I like Judge putting the guys who are playing for a roster spot out there to get the opportunity to earn one. Sure the Giants are running thin on offensive guards at the moment but not terribly concerned about that at the moment. Offensive line just has to play better this season with what we have as we do have a lot of young players out there who need real playing time to develop. I think this team is ready to win.
  4. I haven't had the desire to watch football the last two weeks. I knew it was going to be something similar to the pro bowl but with guys who won't make the roster. I have given up searching for diamonds in the rough during the preseason, they show up during the regular season. Good to hear David Sills is still healthy, hope he can stay healthy because he should make the roster if John Ross misses next week.
  5. I have better uses for my time than to follow the Jets. A Jets QB under fire is not a headline, it is typical.
  6. He is entitled to his opinion. Three kinds of former Giants: Love where the team is headed, Hate where the team is headed, Don't care where the team is headed. Schwartz has bills to pay like the rest of us and will figure out shortly he gets less clicks when his opinion is opposite the fan base.
  7. Maybe we should start a retirement thread for the preseason.
  8. Fans every year have this one guy they fall in love with and imagine the monster year he is about to have because of his size, or speed, or this one play he made...then he gets cut. Jonas Seawright comes to mind. I guess coaches are also allowed to have this one player they see as this potential steal if they just get him on the field he will be a phenomenal player and help win some games. Levine Toilolo
  9. Joe Looney must have run a lot of laps after that brawl. I respect these guys retiring over going through the motions half hearted. There are UDFAs on this roster, on another teams roster and sitting at home waiting for this opportunity to play in the NFL.
  10. It has been an 8 year aneurysm and it hasn't killed him yet.
  11. "But it was all muscle and the coaches raved about great shape he was in..." They tell you to do one thing and when you fail to do that... Even Jared Lorenzen figured out how to drop weight when they asked him to.
  12. I credit Rick Dennison for sticking to his beliefs. DeAndre Hopkins opened his mouth, said what he felt he needed to say, changed his mind, then bent over. I don't agree with the every reason people have for not get vaccinated and respect those stick to it. Getting vaccinated is a choice, working in the NFL is choice, etc.
  13. Ok so how many players equals an outbreak? One? More than one and fewer than five? Is it the guy on the game day roster or the guy on the practice squad. The text implies that an outbreak among vaccinated players does not incur the same penalty.
  14. Now they'll probably make more money than they ever did playing football.
  15. Ok but I don't think he makes house calls.
  16. Ego writing checks your body can't cash. Tiki Barber thought he could make a comeback too. Lets see who else Tim Tebow can get off the couch.
  17. I've never been to a game and quite honestly been perfectly ok with that. I'm not the guy who sits up in the nose bleed section in December thinking this is so much better than watching the game in the comfort of home. Been to the stadium for concerts which was worth it and those concerts were absolutely worth it. So is there any interest in going to a game not in December? Sept 12 vs Broncos Sept 26 vs Falcons (Manning ring induction) Oct 17 vs Rams Oct 24 vs Panthers Nov 7 vs Raiders Nov 28 vs Eagles
  18. Yeah at that time he had to. That year the Giants offensive line was playing poorly and couldn't run the plays Payton was calling. Fassel was back in the fire at that point as well. Sean Payton did coach under Parcells later on with the Cowboys. I've never seen any real evidence of influence from Parcells on Payton. There is no emphasis on defense, team discipline, and his offense is built on speed.
  19. Yeah he went suddenly. Fassel definitely deserved another shot as a head coach in the NFL. I think he did a great job with the team that he had and I also think he played a bigger part in developing the offensive mind of Sean Payton than most would give credit.
  20. Reading and posting using their MB format is punishment enough.
  21. BBI: Big Blue Interactive It's the other Giants MB that has been around since about '95. Format is horrendous but otherwise good posters and Eric is the owner.
  22. Not surprising. He'll probably be doing the bare minimum until the start of the season and then he'll be looking rusty out there for the first few weeks.
