  1. So you figure in 2022, that likely reaches the 10-12mm range. Not bad. I'd take that contract for 1 year.
  2. What's the 5th year option? If it's like 1 yr $12m or less, I'd be somewhat open to it.
  3. He's likely not going to be 100% next year. Likely won't return to pre injury form at all in general. Do we move on? I.e let him play out his 4 year rookie contract, don't pick up the 5th year option, and let him go free agent. Or trade would be ideal, next year if possible. Either way, point is I think we need to plan for a future without him.
  4. He has to work on this. He's a bit late on some of his throws too. I think he'll be fine though. He'll get it.
  5. Confirmed Barkley has a torn ACL. Out for the year.
  6. There's nothing worse than making fucking Nagy look like an offensive genius
  7. Fair enough. I'm just glad that you're not defending DG.
  8. One or two MORE seasons like this? Lol Gettlemen needs 5 years? Lol
  9. All of this is on the GM. We have the same problems in his third year that we had when he started.
  10. I simply think last week's OL performance was a disgrace, and I fault DG in general for failing to put together an OL three years in a row. Do you find last week's OL performance acceptable? How are they doing so far today?
  11. For reference, it's the start of the 2nd quarter in the broncos steelers game and the broncos already have twice as many rushing yards as the Giants had in their entire game against the steelers.
  12. I think he just needs to take the next step and not have a sophomore slump.
  13. We performed far worse on the ground than any team they played against last year. About 50% worse. Again, I would have gladly taken 60 yards Monday night. How much do you want to bet every other team playing the steelers this season has more than the 32 yards we had?
  14. One team last year had less than 60 yard rushing against the Steeler defense. That's the Chargers with 32 rushing yards (and they almost won the game). Every other team had 60 or more rushing yards. Teams included that had 60 or more are the: Dolphins, Bengals twice, and the Jets. Vs the Giants who had 32 rush yards, 22 of which were from the QB scrambling. I would have gladly taken 60. Also, playing against a really good defense in my view isn't an excuse for guys like Cam Fleming to do the Giants OL Ole, i.e. spin around in a circle without even touching a defender, and let the defender shoot the gap untouched to nail your QB or RB. Go back and watch that play with Cam Fleming; he had two possible defenders to choose to block and instead he chose to block neither lol. Herndandez had a few near Ole's as well.
  15. 40 yard would have been better than 6. Look this OL is going to be shit this year regardless of the defenses that they play.
  16. I've said from the beginning. Saquon Barkely's toughness is just average. He's not a grinder. He's not a downhill guy. Not that you don't need to do inside runs with him...you certainly do. But he's not going to give you 20-25 plus interior carries. Gallman, who is smaller weight wise, is far tougher and should be incorporated into the mix. We should be running sets with Slayton, Shepherd, Barkely, Engram, and Gallman, especially shotgun and 3rd down and long formations.
  17. We're not the ones saying he "impressed" in his first game. PFF is. Do you think he "impressed?" I don't. I think he was okay, had ups and downs, but wasn't impressive. How dare we share our opinions about a players performance in a game! That is not allowed in the sports section of the message board. You cannot comment on a players performance in a game! Joking aside, we need to set realistic expectations on Thomas. He's going to have ups and down this season, his rookie year. It's very unlikely that he's a lockdown LT at this stage. He's probably going to be average overall this year. I am not too worried as long as he continues to show potential and progress. He is not my main concern. My main concern is the rest of the shit line and how this is yet another botched giants offensive line overall. And yes, I am considering Will Hernandez as going down the path of a bust until he proves otherwise. "But they were playing one of the best defenses." Outside of Daniel Jones, this team had 6....fucking 6! rushing yards on 15 carries. That's pathetic and unacceptable. This same Steeler's defense gave up 110 yards per game last year.
  18. That's fair. 61 or so on PFF isn't too bad, and I think would be okay for a rookie...plus you have to consider he has absolute garbage on the OL next to him.
  19. PFF Grades: Fleming = 51.6 Zeitler = 49.6 Gates = 54.4 Hernandez = 46.3 (This guy is busting out quickly) Thomas = 60.8 So yeah, he was the D grade guy vs all the other guys that got F's, lol
  20. What were the grades? The entire line was shit. So if the grades are like F, F, D, F, and he got a C-...that's not encouraging.
