First year I won't be...

Trying to watch as many Mets' games as possible. I have purchased the MLB.TV deal in the past but not this year. There does seem to be hope but with a new regime, but I will still not subject myself to more of the disappointMets. Still, hopeful that Castillo does not win the 2nd base job, and someone like Emaus or Murphy shows big promise. Also hopeful for a nice season out of Thole, Ike Davis, and a rebound year from Bay.

The Phillies take the division though unless they lose two of their top 5 starters to significant injury. Their rotation is the best I've seen in a long time.

You can get HD quality online games for $100 for the season.

Thanks blu, but watching the Mets the past few years has been torture. I'm getting into my mid-thirties, I have to start thinking about stuff like keeping my blood pressure in check. I might catch a few games, but getting pissed off 3-4 nights a week and I may end up with a stroke or a divorce or both. :P

i hear ya- in baseball, there are certain games that get to me. a lot of them involved the guy pictured below. but mostly i find it relaxing to watch a game, even if my team is not in contention.

He blew saves for us way before you guys had him.

I remember one time Art Howe did his best impression of Tony La Russa (I usually stay for the Mets vs. Cards games, they are torture...La Russa is a cocksucker) well anyways.... how brings in John Franco. 1 out. How brings in some other guy. 2 outs. Benitez. 3 outs. But not after walking 1 guy and giving up a single.

I am a little optimistic right now. I don't know what to think. This team still has potential to steal the Wild Card if everyone stays healthy and the pitching is able to manage until Santana comes back. i highly doubt that one though. Last year was a tough one to watch. I stopped mid season. I have watched terrible Mets teams in the past but it was just way to much to handle. This year, I will look at it from a different perspective. I don't care about Castillo, no way he starts. I am more worried about Ollie. If he retains a starting spot in the rotation, I might be not be tuning in. What a waste.
