Oh sweet baby jebus we got the Weyburn kid.

I wanted the Bluebombers to draft him in 2013, went to Calgary instead and the Blue bombers got some corner who cant stay healthy.

He's a corn raised Saskatchewan kid, doesnt know the meaning of finesse, only knows how to push things at a very fast rate.

Hope he can transition.

Like them big old Corn Feds... Push their way through walls they can... Pink skinned Hulks... Like their little sisters too... so curious about the dark lumber when they get to the big city... :)

My guess is that he'll compete for the backup center spot with awesome, awesome J.D. Walton.

Or try out at Guard. Or simply provide depth for when we allow Walton to walk next year. Or allow us to cut Walton and save cap space provided talent level is the same.

Frankly tree after driving through Saskatchewan many times, I don't know how any lives out there, you either live in Regina, or 10 hours from Regina.

Being a postman has got to be a hard job in that province.

Saskatoon is bigger (and a lot nicer) than Regina. Saskatchewan has nothing on Western Australia, which has some of the lowest population densities in the world. It's a 4 hour flight from Perth to the next capital.

I honestly don't know what the talent margin between the NFL and CFL is.

Nor I, but wouldn't the better comparison be between what we called an offensive line last season and what this guy did in the Canadian league?

I think the extent of the conversation involves the Giants finding a guy, who had a great deal of success in the professional league of which he was a member, and the Giants bringing him in to compete. Nobody is printing up pro bowl jerseys for this guy. Nobody is even guaranteeing him a starting spot. He's a guy who is being given a shot. Perhaps what makes it most intriguing is the poor play we had on the interior offensive line last year.

So, this CFL player may not end up being NFL calibur, but then again, neither was our offensive line last year...so it still might be an improvement.

all joking aside, the elite CFL players are usually at least serviceable NFL players, and some of them have even been very good.

Linemen especially. It's the WRs that never pan out, no matter how dominant they are in the CFL the games are just too different, but the trenches are the same.
