Fixed. Well, we'll see with A-Rod. I don't think the Yankees want A-Rod back, ever. They want to void that contract in the worst way. And if necessary, I wouldn't put it past them to just keep him away from the big club for a long time.

Fun Fact - The Yankees are the only team in the division with a negative run differential.

It's a wide open race.

The Rays just promoted Wil Myers, who has come up and raked, as well as playing a great RF defense. Wil Myers is like sticking a 2nd Evan Longoria in the lineup. Also, Price is about to come back, probably make his first start coming off the DL next week. An AL Cy Young Award winner from a year ago, that is a real cavalry. At some point, Alex Cobb, who had been the best pitcher for the Rays, will be back from his concussion. That will probably be in a 2-4 week window, just from guessing. The good news is, it's saving innings on his arm for later this year.

But the Rays can really hit this year. And after this weekend series with the Tigers, the schedule is looking pretty favorable, 7 of the following 14 games against the Astros, and the other 7 are against the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins, both teams under .500, and 10 of those games are home games. It's set up very nicely for a big run for the Rays.

Im as big of a yankee fan as their is, but im also not crazy. I have no faith in nay of the yankees upper management..cashman, levine, oppenheimer, hal & hank ect.

Id love to lead a boycott of this team...what theyve done is bordeline criminal. theyve ruined a great thing..the ballpark is atrocious..the prices beyond unreasonable, they purposely downgraded the team to pocket more money..and when the team miraculously showed they could contend, they did nothing to improve them but call up or take off waivers a million awful middle infielders.

Im really fed up with this organization. Next year they will be awful..and even though they will most likely get a top ten draft pick, I have no faith that theyll use it wisely. George is missed, greatly.

Girardi, for all his faults, is not the guy to blame..he has been given an awful team to work with.

I/m surprised they've done so well with what they have. Might be Girardi's best year of managing

we all are..girardi deserves a lot of credit...but shits about to get ugly.

I dont have the faith in the front office to have the wherewithall to be big sellers at the trade deadline...they should be shopping everyone..Hiroki Kuroda (the AL ERA leader at the all star break) will be the best pitcher available, a team like Texas or St. Louis would love to add him to their playoff run. Cano can go too. Joba, Hughes, Nova, Ichiro(if anyone owuld have him) Jeter, Hafner, even Mariano should be traded if they have the chance.

but like I mentioned, I have no faith in the front office..so theyll do nothing ot aquire some shitty old player for a semi prospect like brett Marshall.

Yankees would be wise to trade everyone of note because they are going to be bad and it's already showing signs. They've been held together with spit, bandaids and elmers. That's not gonna last, Kuroda isn't gonna be pitching this well into his 40. Pettitte is on his last holes as a pitcher and CC is on the back 9 of his career.

They've got no noteworthy prospects coming up as they've all stalled in high A or double A. They're going to give Cano a stupid deal and it'll be 1984 to 1992 all over again for "pride, power, pinstripes."

I haven't been to the new stadium....loved the old Yankee...both pre-73 rehab...and even after the rehab.

I haven't heard a good thing about the new park...have you been to it?

How bad is it?

Its terrible Chuck..its basically a warehouse with some grass and overpriced, shitty concession stands. Not a fun place whatsoever.

to make things worse Citi Field is a work of art..awesome place to watch a game..great concessions (they have a shake shack..nuff said) and just better overall vibe. YS is like a concentration camp in comparison.

this teams is as bad as the stadium. Id like to boycott them until all upper management is gone...better yet, until the team is sold to more capable ownership..mark cuban would be nice. Im sure he'd throw larry beinfest, andrew friedman or another good GM enough dough to come over be the team president..and to hire a good young GM. randy levine is a joke. damon oppenheimer might be even more incompetent at his job. Im not sure if cashman is a good or bad gm..very hard to tell when your superiors are as bad as they are and can overule and undermine you. but since im talking about cleaning house, he can go too.
