2019 NFL Mock Draft

That bitches part is unnecessary.

That Clenin kid from Clemson I think will be ours. Him lining next to Tomlinson and Hill next year could give us some decent pass rush, because I'll backtrack on my defense of Vernon after the 2nd half of the season. I had thought that the Giants had to release either him or Jenkins in the offseason and my original bet was Jenkins. But he ended up having the better season.

I would be happy with him.

I'd be fine with Haskins at #6.

Or that corner Greedy something, I just remember his first name is Greedy, supposed to be one of the best coverage corners coming out of the draft in awhile.

Jenkins, Greedy and Beal would make our secondary suddenly NFL calibre.

I would love one of those DTs Williams or Oliver but Williams is probably gone in the first few picks and Oliver might be as well.

I don't know much about Haskins, but it's an ideal situation to take a prospect at QB. Commit to sitting him for all of 19, save for some late game experience snaps in the second half of the season, and let Eli conclude his career knowing he will lead the team all year - his last year. There has to be a plan in place at QB and they don't have the balls to release Eli to trade for Carr or sign Bridgewater.

I am not sure that we will see the top 5 picks all be Defensive Linemen.... and if that were the case, I would not want to see them take the 6th guy on their depth chart there

I'm not sure there's any qb in this draft worthy of top 10 either... but if the top 6 happened to be DTs or DEs... and the fact that our DE position is a glaring weakness, I say roll with it and get us someone who can get to the QB.

I'm afraid Haskins is another Jamies Winston.

I don't think they want any QB in the first round. Especially from the Ohio State program. Who's the best QB out of that system? Mike Tomczak?

Yeah...or Rex Kern...who was a serviceable Safety for the Colts for a decade or so.

But, if Dave Brown is death on the Gman taking that kid out of Duke...then Kent Graham should have the same effect on this OSU guy...whom I watched toss like a a half a dozen interceptions against Iowa two years back.

The other thing to consider is he is more an Urban Meyer ...than OSU product....which gets you into the Alex Smith.....Tim Tebow NFL legacy.

I am not sure Haskins is can't miss either honestly I could live without him. This was a two year plan for Gettleman to build the roster then get the QB. I'd probably kick myself more if they miss on Tua or Herbert in 2020 because they have Haskins

The team showed marked improvement over last year... and in the 2nd half more precisely. I think we lose when teams take out Barkley since our WRs don't have time to get open... hence our OL issues. I can see a draft where we get a stud DE in the 1st and continue to improve the OL in the 2nd and 3rd rounds plus FA.... I can see us winning enough games to pick between 11 and 20... which means we may have to pay up in order to move and get our man....

I hate to think we are in position to draft them next year

If we're doing QB next year, I'd like to see us trade out of the top 10 to grab something this year (maybe a 3) and a 1 next year. That way we can possibly trade both 1's next year to move up and grab the guy we want.

When considering guys like Lock, Jones, Ryan Finley etc this year....keep in mind that Tua and Herbert aren't "sure things" either. You also have to consider that you can't assume you'll be in a draft position next year to pick a top QB, versus now where we are in a position.

Tua's mechanics are superb. I don't want a Jamies Winston...and that's all this draft has this year...
